This is in response to complaint ID. Apparently Mr. called me for price on unclogging a sewer line. I must have spoken to him because I answer all my calls. My normal price to unclog a drain is $160 during normal working hours , 8am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Because of the Covid-19 situation we are charging emergency rates due to all the additional cost and time required to continue to stay open and provide safe service to the public and my employees. Maybe some other service companies are not taking the needed procedures to stay safe. First of all, additional work gear is needed which includes rubber gloves, masks, throw away apparel and sanitation products. Every night all of our work vehicles are totally cleaned and sanitized to protect from the Coronavirus. This is causing my employees to stay late and that is costing the company capital. I am one who does not take this virus lightly and that is why I have implemented this safety procedure. It is amazing that some people just laugh at Covid-19 and do not take it serious. I am sorry about the extra charge but it was needed to stay open and conduct the business properly and safely. The extra charge of $70 per call is not at all price gouging. It was needed to help defer the cost to stay safe and healthy. I started the business in 1985 and have great ratings on Internet sites and have never had a problem with The Revdex.com. I always tell customers upfront about the $70 and up to now nobody had a problem with it. Everyone has the right to call another company if they are not happy with the emergency rate charge. I will continue to stay safe rather than be sorry. I never did a service for Mr., I only gave his a price. Once the state and country reopen and the threat decreases, our rates will be back to normal.
