Had a problem with our Maytag washerWe took a short video of the problem we were having to aid the diagnosingWhen the guy showed up, he looked at video and then said he didn't have to do any more diagnostics and gave us a quote for $He said we had a bad transmissionHe didn't give us a written quote mind you, just verbal info that my husband wrote downHe didn't even put hands on the washerThe problem was not something that happened all the time, which is why we took the video, to give him a staring point in diagnosingWhen I found out from someone else that likely wasn't the problem, after we'd already bought a new washer and dryer, I contacted the officeNone of the three managers were there at the time so I left a message, I was promised a call back the following Monday- 11/I never got one, given that it was a short week I waiting until 11/to call again and left a messageI got a call back from Bob- who was kind of rudeHe said he looked at the 'system' and brought up the quote as well as notes from the tech saying that he had reached in the washer and spun the tub and it was "all loose"That was a complete lie because as I have already stated, he did not put his hands on the washerThe system also showed that he diagnosed the support for the tub had brokenHe never said anything about the support for the tub being broken at the house only that the transmission was badIf the support for the tub was broken, I would think it would not work at all or the problem would be constant but it wasn't and the washer was still working fine, just a little loud at timesThis was a wasted $The guy we gave the washer to got a great deal though:(

My experience with this apartment complex was horrifyingI decided to give the apartment a chance even though it was old and not very well maintainedI had heard good things in the past, but apparently it has gone way down hill over the past few yearsI noticed a distinct smell when I first saw the apartment, but it was covered by new paint smell so it was hard to tell exactly what it wasAfter I moved in I realized it was the strong smell of cigarette smokeMy clothes and everything reekedMy main reason for refusing to stay there was the roachesROACHES galoreI was told the apartment could be sprayed, but if anyone has lived in an apartment you know they'll come right backThere were baby roaches and others of all sizes We killed about over days I also discovered a huge hole under the bathroom counter that looked as if rats had torn the wall to shredsI moved in for a weekend and when I told the manager that I could not stay there! It was disgustingContin next
So, I told the manager, Meagan, that I was leaving and needed my deposit backShe said I would be able to receive my deposit back, or my deposit from DUThis was after I addressed the fact that she had not informed me of the terrible roach problemShe told me the reason I couldn't get my deposit back was because, though I hadn't signed the lease yet, I legally took possession of the apartment when I signed with Decatur UtilitiesBefore I moved in I asked her specifically if I decided I didn't want the apartment could I get my deposit back from bothShe said it'd be complicated, but possibleSo, she had changed her wordShe was bubblegum sweet when I first met her and at this point she was being pretty rude, and it comes down to her lying to meThey may have some amenities here that seem nice, but they are not worth itI now refuse to live in any apartment complex in Decatur because I have been traumatized by the one place that I thought was decent

Had a problem with our Maytag washer. We took a short video of the problem we were having to aid the diagnosing. When the guy showed up, he looked at video and then said he didn't have to do any more diagnostics and gave us a quote for $990.08. He said we had a bad transmission. He didn't give us a written quote mind you, just verbal info that my husband wrote down. He didn't even put hands on the washer. The problem was not something that happened all the time, which is why we took the video, to give him a staring point in diagnosing. When I found out from someone else that likely wasn't the problem, after we'd already bought a new washer and dryer, I contacted the office. None of the three managers were there at the time so I left a message, I was promised a call back the following Monday- 11/18. I never got one, given that it was a short week I waiting until 11/28 to call again and left a message. I got a call back from Bob- who was kind of rude. He said he looked at the 'system' and brought up the quote as well as notes from the tech saying that he had reached in the washer and spun the tub and it was "all loose". That was a complete lie because as I have already stated, he did not put his hands on the washer. The system also showed that he diagnosed the support for the tub had broken. He never said anything about the support for the tub being broken at the house only that the transmission was bad. If the support for the tub was broken, I would think it would not work at all or the problem would be constant but it wasn't and the washer was still working fine, just a little loud at times. This was a wasted $87.75. The guy we gave the washer to got a great deal though. :(
