They tried times to repair a small EVAP leak on my car and charged me times for a total of over $800, the problem got worse instead of fixed They tried times to repair a small EVAP leak on my car and charged me times for a total of over $800, after all that money, the problem is not only not fixed, but actually got worse Every time I went back, they will tell me they found a new issue that is not covered by previous repair's warranty and I have to pay for another repair, and do not agree that previous repair was a mis-diagnosed useless irrelevant work I went in to fix a very specific problem, and no matter what story they tell me, I gave them chances and paid up times, they were not able to fix it

Brought in car to have coolant leak repairedAfter they replaced top radiator hose the coolant leak became more frequent
I brought my *** ** to A-Tech on *** to have a coolant leak fixedMy problem was the leak was occurring a couple times every two weeks and when the car was not under pressureTheir diagnosis was they found the coolant crossover hose is leakingI approved them to fix the leak so they replaced the upper radiator hose for total cost *** I picked up the car the next day after it was completedThe next day I've noticed what appeared to be coolant leaks under my car on a daily, so I watched the car over a couple of weeks to verify in fact I am leaking coolant daily, I brought my car back to A-Tech on *** to look into why it is leaking worse after they say they fixed the leak Second diagnosis is that they think the leak is either coming from the thermostat or the water pump and they recommend to do the timing belt at this time for an estimate

A-Tech automotive completed repairs that were not necessary, completely botched their repair job, and destroyed many other parts on my vehicle. 2/26/2014: A-Tech Automotive evaluated my car for a MA State Inspection, claimed I needed a new rack and pinion, tie rods, a right control arm bushing, and an alignment3/4/2014: A-Tech Automotive has my car all day to perform all the above repairs and then passed ** car in MA State Inspection saying there were no other problems with the vehicle for $1055. 3/4/2014: Drove the car away, noticed it was banging me in every direction all over the road, which never happened before, so violent it injured me on the 2 mile ride home3/4/2014: Called A-Tech said there was a major problem and they needed to look at the car. They told me they were closing for the day and to take the car in in the morning3/5/2014: Drove the car 2 miles in for them to evaluate in the morning and they laughed at me, told me to leave their shop or they would call the police on me3/5/2014: Filed a complaint with AAA because they were AAA Certified Repairs3/5/2014: Drove to another car repair shop that found the right control arm bushing was hanging off the car, said my car could have flipped over from the wheel flying off, they screwed that back on, but did not perform a thorough evaluation beyond screwing on the control arm bushing3/5/2014: Drove car home and it was still violently beating my body and I was sustaining injuries3/6/XXXX-X/11/2014: Took it to several mechanics who said the ride was definitely rough, one of them found that the right rear wheel was also about to fall off my vehicle, they said it looked purposeful, they screwed the right rear wheel back on, other mechanics felt my shocks and struts were blown possibly from the repair shop banging my vehicle down off the car lift really hard or cracking them during the repair job3/11/2014: Paid $636 to get new front struts, front mounts, rear shocks, and they said there is no way A-Tech aligned my vehicle as was charged because the vehicle alignment was grossly off on the electronic reading 3/11/2014: Drove my car home and it was still violently beating my body3/11/XXXX-X/20/2014: I have been driving a vehicle that has been jerking me and bumping me all over the road, and I have trouble steering the car because of itOn 3/9/2014, 3/12/2014, 3.25/2014: I went to the doctor for injuries from the rough car ride and was diagnosed with abdominal contusions, Neck and back sprain, and neck and back pain. This has prompted x-rays of my spine, physical therapy, pain medications, and muscle relaxants. I have weakness in my extremities, and extreme pain in my shoulders with a popping in and out of socket. I am now experiencing a limp in my left leg. None of these injuries were present before driving my car away from A-Tech on March 4, 2014.Desired SettlementI am seeking a full refund for the repairs of $1055.39. They are lucky I have not taken them to court yet for the damage to my body. Business Response In Response to Customer [redacted]'s Complaint there seems to be a lot of discrepancies in her Revdex.com complaint. As she was a first time/one time customer to our shop I have no history of any previous repair work to her vehicle. First on 02.26.2014 the customer brought her vehicle to our shop with the documented complaint/concern: "The vehicle is difficult to steer and feels out of whack and pulls to the left when braking. Steering wheel seems to pull." Customer then stated that she has had her car looked at another shop that she was not [redacted] with their work and was not going to tell us what they diagnosed as the problem. The technician road tested the vehicle and inspected the front suspension for wear, he found a worn steering rack and tie rod ends, as well as a worn control arm bushing on the right front control arm bushing and loose and rattling sway bar bushings. The customer declined the work that day, but returned on 03.03.2014 to have the work performed. The customer requested that the Technician replace 4 of the 6 worn components noted, as was needed to pass [redacted] Massachusetts State Inspection. The technician performed repairs, performed a four wheel alignment and a state inspection and re- road tested the vehicle. The customer picked vehicle up from shop at 4:42pm on 03.03.14. On 03.04.2014 the customer met my service manager at the door at 7:30am with a complaint that her car was "ravaging" her, the service manager told her he would go for a road test with her so she could show him exactly what was happening. At this time the customer started making various rude and vulgar comments and stating that he would not be able to feel the problem unless "he was holding on to her V@%!na"... At that point, my other manager got involved in the conversation and stated there was no need for that kind of language and he was going to call a police officer to mediate the situation. The customer continued to call both managers names stating they were "Murders, Baby Killers, and Nazi's" and then took off in her car as the police were arriving. Later that day AAA tried to assist the customer as a mediator (even though she was not a AAA member). Vehicle was eventually brought to another shop that day (49 miles away), where a pinch bolt was found "not installed correctly" and was re-secured for the cost of $54(which was reimbursed by our shop). Customer has since stated that she has brought the vehicle to multiple mechanics and has paid additional money and replaced additional components, none of those shops have found any of her complaints with the vehicle according to her own statements. I also see no relationship to her medical claims from driving her vehicle(which she continues to do). Due to the customer's behavior, in person, in several phone calls to our shop, the AAA office, answering machine recordings, and postings on the internet, we have determined that this customer may suffer from some form of mental illness and we are no longer communicating with this customer directly. We would be [redacted] to review the vehicle complaints (at no charge), and re-road test and inspect for any issues through a AAA mediator (or a rational 3rd party), but customer has declined any corrective action to satisfy her concerns to date.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This response from A-Tech Automotive is so inaccurate and insulting it clearly reflects their exact behavior when attempting to deal with their unprofessional, misogynistic, and chauvinistic bravado. The definition for misogynistic is, "reflecting or exhibiting hatred, dislike, mistrust, or mistreatment of women." This is a disgusting and horrible display on their behalf. A-Tech Automotive should be ashamed of themselves. My original complaint stands as whole and accurate, and I will address the inaccuracies in A-Tech Automotive's statement:1) I was and still am an official card-carrying member of AAA. AAA attempted to mediate this claim. But they stated A-Tech Automotive was unwilling to participate in any mediator examination of my vehicle throughout the mediation process.2) I have receipts for all the work I have completed on my vehicle. This work was all due to faulty mishandling of my vehicle at A-Tech Automotive. The total is far greater than the $54 claim made by A-Tech Automotive in their response.3) My car is still injuring my body when I drive, and there have been multiple mechanics who agree the ride in my vehicle is exceedingly rough. 4) I have medical information from 3 doctors and one physical therapist that detail the injuries sustained from my vehicle. 5) To this date, A-Tech Automotive has refused to assist with my actual vehicle, including any third-party mediator evaluation. 6) As for their claims the car "ravaged" my body. I guess that is their male bravado wish that their work would ravage me. I instead stated their repair work injured my body, and the car was jerking and jolting me all over the road.7) A-Tech Automotive is increasing their liability problem by attempting to state actual problems with their repair work, which they even admit in their above response, mean I may suffer from a mental illness. That is not a claim they are able to make, and it amounts to slander. That is a sad misogynistic attempt to shirk responsibility for faulty repairs that injured their customer. What a shame they would stoop so low to try to get away with being bad mechanics.8) Due to A-Tech Automotive's complete inability to behave professionally and take care of their mistakes like adults, I request a full refund for the repair work that destroyed my vehicle. 9) I cannot continue to drive a vehicle that is damaged by them without receiving a refund for their damage.10) They can make as many false claims as they would like about me. But that doesn't change the need for them to own up to their business mistakes and make the situation right through proper refund of faulty work. When any product is broken or faulty, a consumer is entitled to a refund. That is the same for car repair shops. They don't have special rules allowing them to get away with bad business and ripping off their customers. A-Tech Automotive gets an F for fair, reliable, professional, and responsible business practices.
