I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The car was not in AZ. It was brought in from CA. The seam was separated due to you, [redacted], whether is was your elbow or your sharp scraper -  [redacted], you and you alone separated the seam as it was not separated prior to you accessing and working in the back seat.  You are responsible for the damage. You knew you separated the seam - you just thought I wouldn't notice. You should have brought the tear to my attention immediately, however, since you denied scraping off the defroster strips, I am not surprised that you refuse to take responsibility for your destruction of the seam. The seam was sewn together recently - which I have had to pay for out of pocket. The total cost was $265.00. Now, the leather is not laying flat and if it does not lay flat in the next couple of days and does not look as it did prior to you damaging the seam, the leather skin will need to be completely replaced. I will again, have to take a large portion of my day to take the car for repair. Once the repairs have been made to return the back seat to its prior condition - a seam that was not ripped and leather that is fitted - I will send you the total charges. If you refuse to pay for your error and damage, I will pursue you in small claims court. I will also sue you for time lost, emotional distress and aggravation, gas and mileage to take my car to these repair shops, and legal fees.

[redacted] is correct in saying I did not point out the flawes prior to doing any work on her vehicle. I verbally tell the customer as I see a problem. The rear window problem is that someone had scraped the bottom 3 lines partially off. When this happens you can't see it (unless you look closely) until...

you install the tint because when you put  a dark background on it makes the lines orange color stand out. So when [redacted] asked "what do I do in a situation like this" the first thing I thought was I didn't see any lines on the tint I took off. So when she started getting upset I thought "OK just get her a new window and try to keep her as happy as possible". I had the window replaced. Now 6 days later I found out from my insurance company that she wants her seat replaced. I will not speculate how it may have happened, but by the picture she sent it was a fatigue of the string that is sown into the seem. I have been tinting windows for over 40 years and I have never seen this type of problem occur from tinting a car. I have seen it from dry rot. Once this has occurred you can tear that seem by sitting in the seat. This vehicle is over 4 years old, never been tinted before meaning the Arizona sun has been taking its toll on the interior of this car. It comes down if I pay for this what is next. If the manufacturer would glue this seem this wouldn't happen. I'm sorry this has happened, but if I was responsible why woundn't I just put it in with the claim on the rear window?Sincerely, [redacted]
