A to Z Carpentry

Horrible work. Difficult to contact. Took money and did not finish job. Had to redo all of it myself because he messed up part he didWe hired [redacted], owner of A to Z Carpentry, to do some work in our bathroom. He charged $700 for the job. He received half of that down in advance. We also provided all of the tile that was going to be needed for the job as well as grout.First it was very hard to actually get him here as he is difficult to get in touch with and does not return calls. Once he finally came he was unable to comprehend how to do the cuts for the plank tiles for the bathroom even though we explained to him we wanted a simple three stagger pattern. He had to calling to other people to explain to him that the only cuts would be against the wall as he thought there would be sharp cuts in the middle of the floor. (Tiling 101?)Well he did lay the[redacted] down and about a third of the tile then he left. After trying to get in touch with him for several days when he did not return, we looked at the tile that he had done. Over half of the tiles that he had put down did not stick because he did not apply the mastic properly! We tried for a week to get him to return. He was avoiding calls and texts. He finally returned a text saying that he had no intention of returning to finish the job nor fix what he messed up. We have never had such a horrible experience with any home repair and improvement company or individual!Please tell everyone looking for any of the services he advertises for that he is the LAST person on earth to hire! We would rather have our teenagers do a job without experience than allow this individual on of close to our property ever again!
