"The worse experience I've had with an online retailer in a long timeShipping was incredible slow (days) even for groundI was willing to wait the 5-days advertised but when they didn't arrive, I ended up having to re-purchase from another retailerI see now from other comments that shipping has been an ongoing issue for a long time
To add insult to injury, their customer service rep was incredibly rude and condescending in his communication with me when I requested an RMA The 15% restocking fee is absurd in this day of online ordering

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by A to Z Eyewear regarding complaint ID [redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]

I have been trying to contact A to Z Eyewear about my order placed 3 weeks ago, both by phone and internet many time and they do not respond. I have since done a search on this company and have found many negative reviews and complaints to the Revdex.com. Steer clear of this company, do not be drawn in by their lower prices, I'm thinking I was scammed by them. I ordered a pair of LeFont frames from them for 193.00 to save $40 over other online retailers 239.00 and think I may have ended up losing 193.00 instead.

Review: I ordered a pair of Tiffany sunglasses for $192.98 on 2/*/16 from A to Z Eyewear and I never received my order. I have been in contact with them via email several times and they will not send a replacement pair of glasses nor offer me a refund. I tried to call their phone number so that I could speak with someone directly about my problem, but I only got an electronic message saying there was no one available to speak with customers.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $192.98.

Review: I ordered a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses from their website, [redacted]. I paid full price for these eyeglasses at $288.97.

I received a pair of sunglasses from an [redacted] shipper, which reference a cost of $125 for the sunglasses.

The sunglasses, however, appear to be used, with a considerable number of scratches on the lenses. I also discovered that these sunglasses were prescription sunglasses!!

I sent an email to them, their preferred method of contact according to their voice message. I have received no response.Desired Settlement: refund of my purchase price.

Review: I ordered a pair of sunglasses from A to Z Eyewear for a friend. They showed up and were way too big for her face. She only tried them on and put them back in the box. I contacted A to Z Eyewear and asked what their return procedure was. They told me to send the glasses back with a note explaining what happened, so I shipped the glasses back at my expense the next day. Weeks passed without receiving a refund, so I sent an email to A to Z Eyewear, but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about or have any record of me contacting them. I replied in detail about what happened and they finally admitted to forgetting to process my return. When they finally issued a return, it was $35 less than what I had paid. A to Z Eyewear claimed it was a restocking fee, which is more than 21% of the total purchase price of $164.99. I contacted the company and was told that this is their standard fee for returns and that it is stated in their return policy. I looked all over their website for a return policy and found nothing, so I contacted them again. They sent me a link to a FAQ section that was not accessible by navigating their website (as far as I can tell). Buried in the FAQ was a mention of the $35 fee. I had to pay my friend $35 out of my own pocket, plus shipping costs for the return just because I wanted to do a favor for someone. I argued that the fee was absurd, especially after dealing with an incompetent company that forgot to process my return and did not tell me about the fee when I asked what the return procedure was, but A to Z Eyewear would not budge on the fee one bit. If I had known there was relatively huge restocking fee, I would have kept the glasses and sold them myself. It has been almost five months since this transaction and I am still very upset. I think this is a completely unfair practice with the sole intention of stealing money from customers.Desired Settlement: I want A to Z Eyewear to refund my $35 and to stop charging other people this outrageous hidden fee. This seems very illegal and I can't believe they are getting away with it.

Review: Placed order 12-*-14. It has been over a month now. Calls & emails go unanswered. I recv'd one email on 12-15 telling me the frames were on the way to the lab. No word since. It does not take this long to make reading glasses. I have ordered many pairs online and always have them within two weeks. No response or clear answer from these people as to when I will receive my purchase.Desired Settlement: I am entitled to a full refund of all funds you have stolen

Review: I ordered eyeglass frames that their website showed were in stock, paid 15.00 extra for 3 day shipping and haven't heard another word from the company. When I went to the website to contact them I was directed to an online chat. The rep advised there was a problem with the order but could not specify what it was. He would not give me a shipping date or any other information. I tried to call the number for the company and was sent straight to voicemail to leave a message. I have not received a return call nor a response to my repeated emails. I needed these frames as promised and now will need to find another pair. I am trying to file a dispute with [redacted] to get my money back. There is apparently no way to cancel my purchase as I can't get a response from the company.Desired Settlement: I want the order cancelled and my [redacted] account credited.

Review: On May [redacted],I email the customer service and ask whether they have the frame of CD3186N and they told me YES. So I placed the order online and called them to send it ASAP because I will travel for business in one week and they know I will leave USA soon. When I got the express package, I found it is not what I ordered. The frame is CD3186, not CD 3186N. They are different. From their website, we can see the price of what I got is $25 lower than what I ordered. So I tried to emailed them and hope they can return the $25 difference. They said I have to keep it or send it back. At that time, I told them I already do not have time to process the return and buy another frame. Moreover, the 2 frames are similar. So I was OK to keep CD3186 instead of CD3186N. And I asked them to return the $25 difference of what I got and what I paid. However, after several days they just reply me a return address again. They knew what I ordered, and I had to keep what they shipped because I would travel soon. I emailed them and asked them return the $25 difference again and again. It is reasonable for me to pay what I got. Then they suddenly said the price of CD3186 on the website is mispriced. They also said If I don't return the frame, I have to keep it at the price I purchased. They know I have left USA and I can't send it back.Desired Settlement: I just want to pay what I got. Please ask them to return the $25 difference of what I got(CD3186) and what I paid(CD3186N). Their website present the prices of them clearly.

Review: Please note that the nature of this complaint is manifold, involving the following:

* misinformation about ordering

* nonexistent customer service communication from the company to the customer regarding order status despite a published promise to do this

* deliberately misleading information given by customer service representative when the customer contacted the company on three separate occasions to inquire about order status and delivery date

* the company's refusal to acknowledge discrepancy between its published information and advertised policies - and - the company's actual practices

* the company's refusal to accept for return the incorrectly filled order without a substantial restocking fee

Background:

I ordered a pair of glasses with clear, non-prescription lenses from AtoZEyewear.com on 10/**/14. I ordered "Clear Lens (No Prescription)" for the lens option. The next pull-down menu asks for lens material, noting "Lens Materials[required only if adding prescription]". I wasn't ordering a prescription, so I didn't select a material. When the glasses arrived, they contained the manufacture's lenses, inscribed with a logo, not the clear lenses I'd requested. The company now insists that I should have selected a material despite the clear information on its website and it is my mistake that the lenses were incorrect.

The shipping and handling information on the site says, "Most items are in stock and will ship within 1-3 business days. However, rare situations may arise when processing may take longer. Customers are held in constant communication as to the status of their orders." Shipping time is listed as 3-7 days. The frames I ordered ([redacted]) were and still are listed as being 'in-stock.' However, my glasses arrived after 3.5 weeks (24 days), well outside the advertised dates. The company did not contact me at all about my order during this time.

I had called the company on three separate occasions between Oct ** and Nov ** to inquire about the deliver date. (To be clear, this is not the company "(holding) the customer in constant communication" as promised, but the customer chasing down the company.) Each time I called, the response I received was the same: "Your package shipped yesterday, but we have no tracking information so please call again tomorrow." Given that the package actually shipped on Nov **, this information provided by AtoZEyewear's customer service reps was blatantly untrue and intentionally misleading.

I contacted the company four times about this, and each time requesting an RMA (return merchandise authorization code.) The company has responded, denying that their website offers incorrect information, not answering as to why no communication was given about the order, and dismissing the fact that its representatives gave out misleading information. The company has offered to fill the clear lenses IF I pay return shipping to them and the cost of the new lenses ($44.99 is the cheapest choice), but given how poorly and dishonestly the first order was handled, there is no reason to believe this one would be different. The company offers to accept a return of the glasses only if I pay a 15% restocking fee, which I do not think I should pay given the company's poor conduct and inability to uphold its own policies. After 4 requests, the company has still not provided an RMA.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that A to Z Eyewear (which also does business as [redacted]) refund the full purchase amount.

Review: On 8/**/14, I ordered a pair of sunglasses (Order #[redacted]) because product was listed as "in stock." I have not received my order. In multiple communications, both telephonic and electronic, I was assured that they had the product. On 8/**/14 I was advised for the first time that they had ordered the product, but had not received it.Desired Settlement: I am entitled to a full refund, including the cost of overnight shipping that I paid for.
