Five months before MrAdair of A to Z Indoor Comfort came to my father’s house, the *** *** Fuel Company told him that they could supply the new fuel gauge for $And they gave Dad a business card of a man named *** *** who could install the new gaugeMy father put off getting the work done and in Novwhen I ordered fuel, I mentioned my father still needed a new fuel gaugeThe clerk recommended MrAdair and said she would contact him for me
MrAdair called to set up a date to install it, but HE DID NOT TELL ME THE PRICE UPFRONTIf he had as he claims “specifically indicated that there is a service call of $and a minimum labor fee of $79” I would’ve told him not to comeHe came, I showed him where the fuel tank is, and ten minutes later when the job was done, he mentioned the price for the FIRST TIME: $
Out of curiosity and without mentioning A to Z Indoor Comfort, I contacted his competitor *** *** by email, asking him for an estimate for replacing a fuel tank gaugeHe wrote back that the cost for both labor and part would be $I have copies of the emails if you need them
MrAdair of A to Z Indoor Comfort has lied to you about informing us of the price beforehandHe charged $for a part the *** *** Fuel Company said would be $He refused my clear and repeated request for a receipt (invoice) by regular mailAnd by rights, he owes my father $

[redacted]This is in response to the complaint filed against my company on November 12, 2015. I am the owner of A to Z Indoor Comfort LLC. I was contacted by [redacted] & was asked to perform somework for her as I was referred by the local fuel supplier. I contacted the...

customer to determine the need of the work that she needed to have performed after discussion with this customer arrangements were made to go to the location and perform the repair/replacement. Pricing was discussed upfront at that time- specifically indicating that it there is a service call charge of $69.00 & a minimum of 1 hour labor charge of $79.00. Pricing for the parts were not discussed at that time as I needed to travel to obtain this specific item -I did not have in stock nor did I have a price available to me for the specific part-until it was purchased. When arrangements were being made and pricing for the service call and labor was given, customer did not decline she made an appointment at that time to have it scheduled and performed. Listing/ explanation of charges: • $69.00- for Service Call- this is a standard charge & this charge covers travel to the customer location- In this case it covers the travel to obtain the part needed to repair her fuel tank prior to going to the customer location. • $79.00- for labor- Our labor is a 1 hour minimum. • $73.00- 2inch Tank Gauge • $17.68-Sales Tax I billed this customer accordingly to my pricing as identified above. My company uses[redacted].com as our invoicing system and is sent to the customer electronically via email. When the work was completed the customer & I sat down and discussed the invoice in detail and went over line by line on my electronic device. There were no objections by her at that time. I attempted to send the invoice to her electronically numerous times while on site and was not successful I advised that she should check her SPAM mailbox. It came back that there was an issue with her email address. The date that the work was performed the customer contacted the office number stating that she did not get a copy of the invoice and gave only her email address to my spouse. The customer never indicated that she was requesting a "paper" copy to be sent to her via US Mail. My spouse did state she would handle it, however my spouse who has a fulltime job was called away, and failed to relay the information until she got back on Wednesday the 11th. An email with a PDF attachment of the invoice was sent to the customer and there have not been any indications that she has not gotten her invoice as of to date. In reference to the FREE ESTIMATES. This is for New installations not for Service/ Repair work. I disclosed my hourly rate & the service call charge with the statement "plus parts & any additional labor over 1 hr minimum" at the time the appointment was being scheduled. I am hopeful that this answers all of your questions and concerns. Thank you, Michael A Adair Jr A to Z Indoor Comfort LLC
