A to Z Professional Painting

Review: A to Z Professional Painting was hired to build a backyard porch, which included 6x6 Vigas, 6x6 lumbar cross supports, concrete slab and a metal roof. We got approval by the homeowners association on April 24th to build the porch. A to Z Professional Painting started working on the porch the beginning of May, the owner of A to Z said it was going to take approximately 2 to 3 weeks due to ordering the materials and coming to the home and installing the structure. Money was given to the owner at the beginning May and then throughout the month of May to buy the materials which included lumbar, concrete and all the hardware. Per the owner he placed the order for all the materials in May. It is now September and he has only completed the concrete slab and the structure. There are still pieces of wood missing and the roof is still not installed. The structure was partially stained in August. The wood on top of the structure is rotten. We have been trying to get a hold of the owner but will not return our calls. When we finally get a hold of him he says he will come on a certain day but then his workers come 2 days later. His workers have apologized for not being able to complete the job, but they stated its not up to them where they are scheduled to work. They also mentioned other homeowners have complained for not completing jobs in the time he verbally agrees they will be completed. A job that was suppose to take 2 to 3 weeks has now taken about 4 months. We have also been fined $400 by the homeowners association due to complaints and the time frame given to the homeowners association to complete the job has been long past due.Desired Settlement: We would like A to Z Professional to complete the job by the end of the month and we would like all the rotten wood replaced. We also want him to pay the $400 fine to the homeowners association.
