Contacted Hailee of Touch of Color Bridal in regards to a few bad reviews I had come across on July 22. Reviews detailed her being a no call/no show for hair and makeup trials and a full cancellation of a wedding. Both in which she refused to refund their money. When I asked her about these reviews she claimed that one was a misunderstanding and one wasn't even her bride and that's not how she runs her business. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt so I did, but I expressed my concern to my mother as I still had an uneasy feeling. I told Hailee that same evening that my mom (who is also my wedding planner) would like to discuss trial run details with her as the date we had scheduled (8/29) was the only date I could be in town before our wedding weekend. This is when she began with the excuses and then flat out ignoring us. She didn't reply to either of us from 7/23 until 7/27 claiming she broke her phone even though all messages were being read and it showed her as online. At end of business on 7/23 I wrote her of our decision to cancel and letting her know that I understood I would lose my $200 deposit but that she still owed me a refund of $230.50 that I paid in advance for my hair trial that was to happen on 8/29 as I was still well within my cancellation period per the contract that I actually signed. She read the message and did not respond to me. Today on 8/5 I followed up asking if she needed any information from me to make the refund happen. She then blocked me from all forms of social media and has since taken down her businesses Facebook page (she blocked me from her personal page) and has also taken down her businesses Instagram account. I have since talked to a total of 5 other people that she has done the exact same thing to and she needs to be stopped.

Desired Outcome

Refund I want to be refunded at least the $230.50, ideally my $200 deposit as well for the stress she has put my mother and I through. I'm getting married and this is the most important day of my life. I've since had to rebook a new hair and makeup artist which is costing us more because most people were already booked up. So bare minimum I want $230.50 refunded. Preferably all money given to her totaling $430.50.

The response to this one is very simple. Yes she reached out to me about some sour reviews all of which were removed from the knot website for having zero proof of the situations. At this point *** flips out and says she has anxiety that I need to call her mother immediately because she just can't deal with planning her own wedding anymore. I did break my phone during the week I took a week off to move into our new home which I also explained to her. She demanded I contact her mother immediately and her mother would not respond or text me back. So I messaged her to verify phone number. A few days (mind you I'm still off working hours due to a huge move that require some remodeling with four kids all by myself hence the time off) go by and she demands to hear from me by the following Wednesday. I contacted her as promised Monday immediately after I was able to use my screen again. She then cancels and demands a refund. Even though I did all of the things she asked of me. Per her contract should she cancel she is to do so within 90 days or no refund. Her wedding is in 62 days. Unfortunately the bridal industry is brutal and brides are some of the toughest people to deal with. I've done my best to keep her satisfied but after threatening me and harassing me I did block her. I have never had a business Instagram or Facebook. I have only used a professional wedding website called Weddingwire and TheKnot. The bottom
Line is I'm human and I'm not paid to be on call for any bride. I am paid for day of services only. When I inform my clients of a personal leave that should be that, even though I still went the extra mile to reach her mother.

I have my signed contract saying that the deadline is 60 days from the wedding. Not 90. I did not harass her or demand anything. I also never said I didn't want to deal with my wedding planning. I have record of all communication and I have 7 other brides that will attest that she had both Facebook and Instagram. Also she never called my mom sent her one text which my mom did text her back. I have a line of brides that will testify against her in court.

Paid in full for hair and makeup on January 23, 2020 $1150.00 Transaction # T09162. No show for July 25, 2020 wedding.
Paid in full for hair and makeup on January 23, 2020 $1150.00 Transaction # T09162. No show for July 25, 2020 wedding. We were told if she couldn't make it then someone from her team would show. I started texting her on July 19 asking her if everything is good to go. No Answer. I text again on July 24 the day before the wedding and still No Answer. She still hasn't responded and no one from her team ever showed up.

Desired Outcome

I would like the money back for services not received.

A Touch Of Color Bridal Response • Aug 12, 2020

Services were rescheduled to September 19 2020 due to covid-19, via the contract they were given ONE reschedule without penalties. I also provided hair and makeup services in March during the BRIDAL trial for 7 people. This retail cost is $1160, which was not paid for and as such services were in fact rendered. Even though the wedding has yet to take place.

Response is not accurate.

Her bride took a photo of me literally doing the bridal parties hair and has slandered my name all over the internet yet posting proof that I in fact did redeemer services.

Yes you did do the trial that is not in question. Its the wedding that you no showed after being paid in full up front.

A Touch Of Color Bridal Response • Aug 14, 2020

Well as proof provide the wedding date rescheduled was from April 18th moved to September 19th it's in the addendum of the contract.

Individual rescheduled Pretrial hair & makeup appt. then no showed. Refuses to refund my money. Claims has a team, yet sent one one to fill in.
Initial contact in March 2020. Paid in full $218 on 12 March. Pretrial set for 6 Jun but she rescheduled due to personal issues. Rescheduled for 27 June and she no-showed. Claimed another personal issue but did not send anyone from her "team" to fill in nor did she contact me in a timely manner. This person has since deleted her FB Business page and even created a NEW website page: https://atouchofcolorbrida.wixsite.com/atouchofcolorbridal Original page is: https://a-touch-of-color-bridal.ueniweb.com and I believe she has a 3rd website: https://touchofcolorbridal.com.

Paid 2nd invoice for $124.30 on 24 June, just 3 days prior to no show. When I asked for refund, she told me she did not have the money to refund her. My daughter ($90) and Maid of Honor ($160) both paid her as well. Total she took from us is over $500. Also, why was I charged Georgia tax on Invoice XXXXXX?

There is currently a question of whether she actually has a business licence or not but she says she is the owner of this company. Original address of 900 Brookstone Way is an apartment complex but she has recently moved.

I am fairly certain I am not the only one who she has taken money from.

Desired Outcome

I just want her stopped. I am not the only one who this is happening to. 6 other women have reached out to me after I made a public Facebook post about my experience. Someone who deletes their FB Business page and creates an additional website seems pretty suspicious to me.

and I seemed to be on the same page during one of the hardest times of my life. In this conversation you will see that I never refused her a refund I was vulnerable and honest with ***. She as well understood. She also filed with her bank and my square account was withdrawn negative indicating she did in fact receive her refund! Via her contract she was outside of her cancellation date of 180 days sitting at day 36 til wedding day. My contract also states I will sent a back up team member to the wedding event if necessary. Not to a trial that isn't even being paid for. It also states that under any regard any deposit put down is non refundable. In any event she has accused me of stealing money from her as if I've taken it out of her purse and ran with it. Attached is evidence.

She claims my bank refunded the money. I received a credit for $124.30 which was for my mother's hair. I have NOT been refunded $218 for mine. Also, this is not the 1st time she has done this to someone and she needs to be stopped. I found her mother in law and even she told me she is well aware of her scamming tactics. I have also had other reach out to me claiming she no showed on their wedding day so this is obviously a trend.

The day she no showed she claimed her child's face turned purple and was throwing up. Purple face indicates a severe choking episode and "if your child is having a more severe choking episode, they will not be able to breathe, cry or speak. Their skin, lips, and nails may turn a purplish-blue colour" (Ref: https://www.aboutkidshealth.ca/Article?contentid=1039&language=English#:

She uses contracts but every other hair and makeup company I have seen only charges a $50 deposit. She requires payment in full. That's my mistake for trusting someone and not researching further. Meaning, I didn't even check the local LLR to see if she was even licensed. I will be working on that this week. YES, she did offer to come to my house the evening of no show but it's not very professional to bring your children which is one of the reasons I refused. Contracts should be null and void if the COMPANY does not provide services as indicated in the contract. The client should NOT be punished. This makes it easier for her to scam people.

As for the others who have reached out to me claiming services were not rendered, I have calculated she owes over $2,800 to all parties involved. So this is not just me, there are others and I hope everyone files so she does not scam anyone else. What she is doing is horrible.

This is also untrue I received to notification for refunds from ***. It doesn't matter how unprofessional it may seem to her. I was honest, upfront and I believe people tend to forget business owners are also human. She received her refunds. She's continued to lie, bash and slander me under false pretenses. There's nothing left to be argued, I offered to make it right, she cancelled anyways outside of her contract, outside of a refund date (so absolutely her money was already gone) and I still told her she could dispute it. I have not argued this matter with her my account is negative and she has her money. At this point it is harassment and I will be filing a police report if it continues.
