In August *** *** installed a ceiling fan purchased by meHe was here in my home for three and a half hours and charged me $for only labor plus one eighteen inch extension pole for the fan, which did not match the fan at allHe told my daughter that antique brass is no longer availableI have since learned that is a lieAntique brass extension poles can be found at any store such as Lowe'sObviously he simply did not care to do his job correctly, taking the easy way out by using an extension pole he already hadI am very unhappy with the mismatched look of the ceiling fan and will have to hire someone else to take it down and put it back up with the correct matching extension pole
When questioned about the astronomical amount of his bill, Mr*** told my daughter (who was the only one home at the time and wrote the check for me as she is my POA) that he needed to charge me that amount because he had made a previous trip in which we did not have the correct size of extension pole(Someone had mistakenly sold me the wrong size.)
I have checked with others about Mr***'s type of business practice and was told that it is highly unethical and unfair, and that the bill should've been no more then $at the very mostI feel that in charging twice as much he has taken advantage because he was dealing with a woman
Also, my daughter texted Mr*** and asked for an itemized bill for me and there was no replyAt my insistence my daughter called the bank to put a stop payment on the check and was told that the check had already been cashedThis was within two hours after Mr*** had left my home
Also, I have since noticed that the fan wobbles, so Mr*** did a poor job of balancing the fanif he bothered to balance it at allThis was shoddy workmanship and bad business dealings
