[redacted] from a A touch of paint was hired to skim coat two walls in our houseHe was supposed to be paid 50% up front, % when they thought they were finished and 10% upon our approval if any touch ups needed to be doneHe charged me 60% up front and over the week he said he would be back in the evening to finish things up a number of times and never showed upHe told my wife while I was out of town to pay remaining balance and she did but the project was not done, he said he would come back and finish and did not show up twice, then he arrived and put some mud on the walls in a few spots and left it incomplete and unsandedagain he said he would come back and never responded to calls and text He left a sloppy job with floors and windowsills covered in mudWe now need to hire somebody else to complete the job and pay again

I am rejecting this response because:It has come to my attention that Mr*** and his brother *** have a history of being arrested for burglary and home repair fraud
In Lafayette, Louisiana*** isn’t even allowed to be out of the state of Luisiana *** has made slanderous claims against my husband and I , posting pictures of our family on Nextdoor online social site saying we didn’t pay when in fact we have the estimate and copies of checks paid in addition to text messages between ***, my husband and IWith their history we do not feel safe having them anywhere near our home and would like the refund sent to our house before we pursue any further legal action against both of them. In JAN*** *** owner of this company entered into an agreement to acquire staging, caulk, seal, and color match old discolored caulk on both upper sides of my home; making both sides watertightHe confirmed his understanding that under no circumstance's was a mobile crane to be used over the aging septic system, for safety reasons, and that no mold was to be sealed in place
*** showed up unannounced to start the work when I was out of town; despite my concerns of having work done in my absenceHe gave me his word that I could trust him to do a first class jobLater that day, he sent me pictures of the first side, indicating that he had violated my trust*** had decided that he did not like the staging, rented a crane, and drove it over the septic system with his large SUV; risking grave personal injury and extreme liability for meHe was told to stop the workHe again gave me his word that he would only use staging if I would trust him again

We will get this resolved and I’ll call the customer and figure out something that we can do to fix this

I would definitely recommend using the guys at A Touch of PaintWe needed a few items worked on at our house, and they did great workThey responded very quickly and were very professional

I am rejecting this response because: For all of the true and correct details given in my initial report. We had to hire another company to do and repair his work and the resultant damage to my home. He deceived me then and is trying to do so with you now, with his inaccurate account and statements.The company that I had to hire to for the repairs can and will testify as to the condition that he left our home in and their end result. This company has some real integrity issues and owes me the monies stated in my original filing.

Old and new pictures there was no list on that side of the house we parted when we did rent a lift on the concrete but we were going off of a ladder for the situation and the price that we gave him we sold results of nothing but good honest great work he was happy at that time I have before pictures...

and afterSome of those pictures was before the last one was after everything was all pressure washed and sealed to his standards he did not finish paying us and I told him I was going to bring him to small claims court so he retaliated by calling y'all guys
