I bought a voucher through Living Social for this company to do a complete detail of my vehicleWhen I called the company on January 18, 2016, I spoke with "***" and told him that I needed a Monday or Friday appointmentHe told me that they did not accept vouchers on FridaysIt was several weeks before they had a Monday appointment available that worked with my scheduleI scheduled for Monday, February 15, from to noon***'s response was: "Presidents Day, sure we can do that! @ 9am! We will see you then!!" I made arrangements at that time to take a half day off from work to be home so they could do the detail
At 8:this morning (February 15th), I called and left a voice message, stating that I was at home wanting to confirm that they would be at my house this morningAt 8:I received a text from someone at the company (the same number as "***" had used in January), stating: "Good morning, we will have to reschedule our appointment for this morning." I replied that this was completely unacceptable because I had taken the morning off from work and had received no advanced notice from themI told him that I would file a complaint if they did not come and do the job as promised this morningI then received this response: "Lol Calm down guy Go return your voucher" I responded that vouchers are not refundableHe then responded, "FYI it's pouring out where we are so we don't come out in this weather." I told him that it was sunny at my house with 0% chance of rain
This is clearly a scamThe company uses the voucher system to fill in open spots that it has when there are no full-pay customersWhen a full-pay customer becomes available, they cancel the voucher appointmentTheir complete lack of professionalism, as evidenced by ***'s texts, is quite amazingI am now out a half day of work (approximately $400) and $that I paid for a non-refundable voucherApparently, their solution would be for me to take another half-day off of work and hope that that they show up
