shattered upper glass on rear security door must be replaced to restore to original conditionproblems with MOWING service; after consult with guy in charge (edger man) for sub-level quality (mowing/edging), apparent retaliation follows via vandalism to varying degrees1. apparent shatter of upper safety glass on rear security door2. abuse of lawn with edger in several locations3. unnecessary-widening of gap's (via EXCESSIVE-EDGING) between grass and concrete4. leaving some grass uncut that should have been edged free from the over-grown grass5. EXCESSIVELY-DEEP ruts between concrete and grass Prior to July 8, I noticed progressing irregularities and lawn abuse, to include using ahand-held edger to "mow" certain areas of thelawn, as opposed to using the powered push mower. On July 8th mowing: I talked with the edger manbefore he started mowing (truck driver and apparent guy in charge that does the edging). He was argumentative with me and behaved unprofessionally, and immediately walked away from me when I showed him some sod that I had planted and he had butchered down into the ground. I had to leave and run an error;later I noticed the upper glass on the rear securit door had been shattered. On July 15th mowing: I noticed excessive wideningof gaps between the grass and the concrete; some unmowed grass, abuse of lawn around front tree (cutting it so low it killed it) I have photos of all of these claims as material evidence. This is on-the-job vandalism and consistent/persistent retaliation during the last 2 mowings.On July 17, 2015, I notified [redacted] about thenonsense-ical and retaliatory behavior of his worker (he laughed and defended the edger man; said they have had about 50 broken glasses this year alone, plus it happens when they don't pay attention). Plus, [redacted] told me he would replace my broken safety glass and visit with me on Friday July 18 to view all my claims of poor performance by his edger man. NO-SHOW, [redacted], still has not contacted me as yet, 2 days later, now Sunday, July 19. Desired Settlementn July 17, I contacted Security Door, [redacted] about their replacing the shattered glass. Estimate came to $ 65 for glass and service call of $ 75; Total of $ 140.It is requested that A & W Lawns, Inc. pay for the repair to the shattered glass on my rear security door. If [redacted] wishes to send someone else to get an estimate, that is fine with me.Business Response I went to the customer's house and cleaned up and removed broken security glass for repair on Monday 7-20-15 before I new about this report. I was busy with jobs as I explained to my customer as the reason for not coming Friday the 17th. I apologized for what was a mistake and explained that it was a common occurrence in what we do as lawn maintenance technicians to break a window. The glass is ordered and should come in 7-10 business days which the customer explained to me was satisfactory to him. We discussed the incidents that were just carelessness and inexperience not vandalism. The customer sympathized with me for having lots of employees and dealing with many people. The customer and I agreed after 10 years of working with each other that we part ways but we did so after good and meaningful conversation. The situation was unfortunate and had I been notified at any point about poor service I could have fixed and unfortunate situation. The situation has been resolved in my opinion.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] made no written response concerning the deep trenches that [redacted] ?WHO? apparently made intentionally as most of that happened right after I decided to talk with [redacted] ?WHO? about his poor workmanship. I suspect my talking to [redacted] ?WHO? made him angry and he retaliated. Part of our agreement is that [redacted] will dirt-fill (not sand) the trenches back level with top of concrete drive and walkways. [redacted] told me 7 days on the glass and now he says 7-10 days. The 7th day is today, July 27, 2015. Final Consumer Response Mr [redacted] showed up w/2 helpers, and did a great job. We used my dirt but ran a little short; I told [redacted] that I'd get more dirt and complete the job, personally. THEREFORE, I hereby fully withdraw the Revdex.com Complaint against A & W Lawns.**
