To Whom It May Concern;On 9/1/MrsM*** C*** came in with two rugs to be cleanedUpon inspecting the rug I explained to her that in rug washing there are precautions to take that may cause adverse affects beyond our controlOne of these is dye migrationWith that being said MrsC***
agreed to have one rug cleaned and the rug in question to have it de-dusted and use an encapsulate process only and not using a submerge wash. She called back in approximately one hour and a half wanting to pick her rug up at which time I was in the field away from the officeI explained that I had begun to work on the rug and was not finishedI had left the office to go to an appointment and it was late Friday afternoon, I asked her pick to up it up after the weekend. She came in on Tuesday to pick up the rug and the gentleman with her unwrapped one end and asked her did she want to look at itShe said no, paid the invoice and leftTwo weeks later we received a call stating that we had ruined the rug. She started the conversation on the phone with my office manager stating that she was going to file a complaint with Consumer Affairs & Revdex.com. At this time my manager asked that she bring the rug back in so that she and I could analyze and discuss the situation. MrsC*** brought the rug back in and we inspected the rug togetherHer complaint was a different shade of color on one endI explained to her that this was a dye lot change during the rug weaving process, very common in hand made rugsThis was there when she brought the rug in, myself and my technician both saw it thenThis in no way has been affected by the process we preformedWith this being said MrsC*** was still not dissatisfied and at this point I suggested bringing in an outside appraisal expertShe declined this offer
