Dear [redacted],
I just read your complaint that you filed with the Revdex.com.
First of all, I was really surprised to receive it, because I have worked with thousands of clients over 26 years in this profession and you are the very first to file a complaint...
against us.
So here is my rebuttal.
We sell brand new hearing aids and used ones.
With used aids, they are not "new rebuilt". We have never used this phrase with any client. They are simply used aids which were traded in by another client for him or her to purchase new "smarter" hearing aids.
When we get these "trade-ins" in, we replace their cases with brand new ones and when we sell them to a new client, we put new wires (receivers) on them that fit this new client’s ears and we also put on new domes which go in this new client’s ears. We then program these aids according to the hearing loss of the new client.
Furthermore, in the sale of these used aids, we give the new client a 30 day right to return them for a full refund if they are not fully satisfied and a one year warranty that states if they need to be repaired for any reason during the first year, we at A World of Hearing will pay the bill.
Now, the facts of your purchase of these hearing aids are these:
You purchased them on Wednesday May 16th of last year. Within the first 30 days, you did not try to return them or we would have gladly allowed you to do so and given you a full refund.
Since you have had them, you have been back to us on different occasions and we have readjusted the aids and on June 27th of this year, one of your receivers was bad so we put a new one on and charged you nothing for it per our one year warranty (the new receiver is a $75.00 part).
[redacted], in regards to your complaint that we would not allow you to "trade these aids in for newer ones", we never said that to you. The fact is, when you first bought them, you informed us that you could not afford to buy new aids, thus the reason why you bought used aids in the first place.
I personally would love to see you in newer aids. You have a severe hearing loss and a low discrimination score. If we had newer aids on you, we could do so much more. But, the fact remains, you have told us that you cannot afford to spend anymore.
In summary, [redacted], we feel we treat all of our clients fairly and have contracts in place for the simple fact that we are still running a business. We also give all of our clients, including you, free service forever.
Now, if the day arrives where you can spend more towards a newer set of hearing aids, we will gladly let you trade the current ones in to get credit toward this new purchase.
Sincerely,
Mark W[redacted] BC-HIS
President
