Review: I have an old car, [redacted] 2002. One day I stopped at a-z auto center. They advised me to change transmission fluid, because it was very dirty. That's what they said. I came back in few days and asked them to do that.

In few days transmission in my car stopped working. I called to [redacted] auto center in [redacted] MA, [redacted] auto center in [redacted] MA and [redacted] MA. All of them told me the same: "It is NOT recommended to change transmission fluid if a car that has more than 100 000 miles, it might affect the transmission. If the customer insist we can change it, but we MUST warn him about passable consequences".

I came back to the store and told them what append. That the new problem was a cause of their mistake and if they will not fix it for free, I have to start a legal issue. They did not recognized the mistake and told me that the reason why car working bad, is because of transmission fluid leak. Seal needs to be replaced, it would fix the problem. The labor cost was about 1300$.

The Center manager, [redacted] offered me a deal: "We can fix the seal for 300$", I agreed. I left my car at the store and came back in two days. [redacted] didn't charge my. He told me to test drive my car first and then come back and pay. It sound fair! I test drive it and figured the the problem wasn't fixed! Car is shifting really bad, especially on the reverse.

I called them, left [redacted] a message, he never called back. Today (3/9/2015) I stopped by. The front desk told me that [redacted] is around and one of the guys went to call him, but then came back and said that the manager is not available, that I can pay 300$ to him. I did not pay the money, they did not give me the receipt.

I am working on delivery, every day without car is equal losing money! I did my best to be a good customer, but I gave up. I told them that I experienced a very bad service here and have to report it!Desired Settlement: new transmission

Watch out for these mechanics. They will tell you one thing on the phone about what work was done and when you go in person the counter help will have another story and will defend the mechanic/make you believe you misheard them. They will not do the services asked for and will take advantage of people who appear to not know much about automobiles. there are many other complaints out there along these lines but they get buried in a sea of suspiciously high [redacted] reviews with a similar level of English comprehension, just saying.
