Please DO NOT hire these people. If I could give zero star I would. First of all this guy is not the most pleasant person, he was very annoyed with my questions. Came in to my house on Saturday for a leak in my upstairs bathroom, criticizing the previous plumber like he can do better; said he had to reset my toilet bowl in order to fix the leak, next thing I know the $68 became a $300 job. Today is Tuesday and what he supposedly fixed is leaking again. I called at 7am to tell him that the leak was back, never got a call back, so I call again at 1pm and was told he will call me back at 3pm. Around 3:45 when he finally called and I explained to him what happened, he acted like he did not understand what I was talking about. Asking me what's my problem. My problem is that the leak you fixed 3 days ago was not fixed. This company send crooks out to steal from people. Beware of A1 $68 Sewer & plumbing.

Review: I contact A1 $68.00 sewer & drain plumbing & heating company located in Wantagh to come to my property located in Levittown , NY. Mechanic came on site at 8.45 am and after he performed a simple fix in the bathroom faucet, he walked outside to fill up his paperwork and five minutes later came to the house with a bill for 312.84 . Went a ask him about a full discripcion of the bill he explain to me that the bill was broken down in two parts. (Parts and labor) After I wrote a check I ask him to show me the receipt for the parts and he told me that I cannot see that receipt at all. After I paid the money he came back to my property and insult me and my family using vulgar expressions such as (you don’t know who I am and don’t # with me or else) as a result I have to rush my mother to the hospital . After the incident I reach for help by calling the company and the outcome was the same. Now this company is treating my life and the life of my family. I’m filing a police report now to avoid any type of retaliation. As a father and head of the family I need your help...I’m also forwarding this complain to local news to take action in this company, I don’t want families in our area to experience my journey using this type of services. I assume it was his wife that made the appointment and I believe she gave the name [redacted]. I also assume you did not speak to this man before this rant. I spoke to his wife after the job. I told her what I am telling you, this man obviously has behavioral issues. This person was informed of the approximate cost of the job and parts. It actually ended up costing a little less as I explained to his wife. Upon leaving the house he got pretty worked up out in the driveway. He went into a rant and even accused his neighbors and the town of Hempstead of being "In on it". Because he had an illegal Hot tub? IT was he who called the office explaining that he was "Italian and coming to the office to break heads" At A1 we deal with customers on a regular basis and would never engage a customer in anything less than a professional and courteous manor. It is an unfortun ate occurrence and we can only hope that meeting someone like this is far off with few between.

Review: I am writing in reference to that work that was performed at my home 11/*/15 by employee Keith. I had what I thought was a simple slow leak coming from under my kitchen sink. I had been working from home on 11/*/15 and thought I could have someone over to repair it while I was still able to work. This was not the case. I had informed Keith several times that I was working and I would be in the other room if need he needed my assistance. He interrupted me so many times that I had to take off work. The interruptions were mostly none plumbing related as he insisted on having me involved in conversation. The interruptions go to the point where I had to call out from work.

Keith shut the main water off and drained all of the faucets in the house, I am not sure if this was necessary. To drain all the water he also went into my upstairs without telling/asking me. And lifted my toilet tank seat , because he was curious, almost breaking the items that were on it, and I had to quickly interfere before they fell.

My biggest compliant of all however is the fact that Keith stole my kitchen faucet. I am very upset at what took place that day. As my sink is now in worse off shape than it was prior to Keith coming and I now have a terrible faucet in place of my prior one which I was very fond of. When Keith stated that I needed a new faucet I did not think to question him, as I called a plumber to come and fix the problem and I very unfortunately had put my trust in him that day. I did question Keith as to how I would acquire a new faucet to be installed. Keith stated that he had one to install and talked it up so I would be convinced of its quality. Somewhere in the conversation I mentioned that I would like to pick one out myself, which Keith replied “don’t go to the faucet store because they’re going to get you, their waiting for you” indicating that they were going to rip me off. Not to complicate things I agreed for him to get the faucet from his supplies. After returning from gathering his supplies, Keith then started to install the faucet without ever asking me if I was satisfied with the one he would install. I did see him also pretend to take the "new" faucet out of an already opened box, as well as carefully put the box back into a plastic sheet to keep it looking new. I do believe he put a used faucet in.

While Keith was doing the plumbing work he was on his cell phone at least twice, and I specifically remember him on the phone while coating the pipes and working under the sink.

Another thing Keith kept mentioning was that “if the job didn’t come out good it wasn’t him it was the parts”. (Very reassuring).

Keith then tested everything for leaks, packed up and left after he was paid. When he gave me the bill I was shocked at the price, but I did not argue because to be honest I was too upset about the faucet, the fact that I had to take off from work and I wanted Keith out of my house.

Later that day I come to find out that the hideous faucet he installed shoots out water in all directions from the spout when not on full blast. Over the weekend we then find out there is now water coming out from under the sink worse than before. We had attempted to resolve with the company to get another plumber other than Keith to fix the problem and was told that wouldn’t be possible because Keith works our area. I then get on the phone and explain the situation. I explain to Peter why I do not want Keith back in my house and that the problem is now worse than before. Peter than says “the problem cannot be worse than before, and stated that the notes say; “ water was pouring out of the top and bottom of the sink.” I still have not gotten over what Peter said. I have been upset since 11/*/15 and have lost sleep over this whole ordeal. I explained to Peter, and let me make this 100% clear. AT NO TIME SINCE WE HAVE BEEN LIVING AT OUR RESIDENCE HAVE WE EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH WATER ABOVE OUR SINK. Peter then stated that Keith had no reason to lie, stated that the office manager would call back on Monday and then hung up on me. I did not want to call back at that point and have an argument on the phone, so I waited for the mangers call back on Monday. It is now Wednesday and I still have not heard from the company more than a week later.

At this moment I do not wish to deal with that business any longer as I feel that I was totally taken advantage of and robbed on top of that, not only of my time, patience and money but also my kitchen faucet. I am asking for my $595 back, which would still put me in a loss as I need to now still hire a plumber and pay for a working faucet. Not to mention the fact that I had to take time off from work.Desired Settlement: $595 back
