Customer named *** *** contacted me by phone about purchasing a used front differentialCustomer stated that she had ANOTHER mechanic diagnose the issue and that the front differentiaI was the problem and bad, The customer had the vehicle brought to me for us to install
the used differentialHer origjna.l front differential was indeed bad a$ the axle clips were bad and the end of hex axles were wore down, What we didnt know and couldnt know was it was her transfer case that is bad and causing her front differential to go badWhats going on is there is a clutch pack in the transfer case that is very common to be bad that is binding up and applying pressure to the front axles that is causing the axles to be shoved outwards during a hard corner and ruining the axle clipsWithout driving the vehicle before the repair there was no way to tell the transfer case was also badAfter the front differential was replaced and the customer came to pick up the vehicle we informed the customer that her transfer case had the issue of binding up in a hard cornerStill at the time we still did not know that is what caused her original front differential to go bad The customer returned the vehicle some weeks later and stated that it was making a similar noiseUpon inspection we then determined that again the axle clips were worn and damagedOnly then did we know that it was the transfer case causing these problemsI informed the customer that the ONLY way to fix her vehicle was to replace the transfer case with a good one and I would free of charge replace the axle clips to secure a solid fixIf both items are not fixed then this WILL reocure. The customer stated that she didnt have the money to fix it correctly and said if I would replace the clips ONLY then they would take the car straight to a car lot and trade it off before it broke againI gave them the option to replace the clips on the front axles once free of chargeThe customer took the
deal to fix the clips once in which we didShe then called me a day later and said those clips broke againI informed the customer I didnt know how long that set of clips would have lasted Second of all A-Auto And Transmissions only did the labor repair and only charged her *** plus *** tax = *** Faxed is a copy of my bill In my opinion we have bent over backwards to try and keep the customer happyBut the end result is that they dont want to pay to have it fixed correctly

We did not contact them about purchacing a front differential we contacted them about finding out what was wrong with our vehicle.They did test drive the vehicle before doing any work or at least said that they would test drive the vehicle and look everything over and make sure that the problem was the front differential.we did not return the vehicle some weeks later it was within three weeks and within our warranty.they state that the noise was a simaliar noise no it was the exact same thing that we started out with before they did anything. We did not make the deal with changing the front clips so we could trade the vehicle in that was the only option we were given because they refused to put a new front differential in and gave me a hard time about just doing the clips, I didn't purchase clips I purchased a front differential and the front differential was bad and they didn't have another one and it would have cost them money out of there pocket to get another one so they refused to replace it and just replaced the clips even though my warranty was for the front differential not for clips that go on the front differential. We did pay [redacted] for the labor but also paid [redacted] for the front differential that they provided under a thirty day warranty that did not make it three weeks. the second time we left the shop we contacted the shop within  one hour when we were able to get the suv home because it was making the same noise soon as we pulled out from there shop. We feel we were taken advantage of and done wrong by this company and blaming it on the transfer case is just a way of getting out of replacing the front differential that they sold us that was bad that they don't want to pay to replace. We paid our money for a service and was given a warranty and the warranty was not met or honored by the said company above. we may have only paid [redacted] for the labor but that was the amount A-1 charged and we may have only paid [redacted] for the part but that was the price you charged. A-1 did not met there parts or labor on there parts warranty and did not replace the broken parts and we had the exact same problem we had before we ever gave them a single cent long before our warranty expired so we fill we are due a full refund for bad service, parts, and failed warranty.
