A1 Brightside Auto is a LIFESAVER!!!! At about 12:30 am, I got a flat tire while traveling. I called this company and they got to me in about 20 minutes and changed the tire in about 15 minutes! This company, is fast, professional and courteous To say the least! I'm not a resident of the rocky mount area but I definitely would recommend this company to anyone ever in need of a tow or change of a tire! Thanks again!

Had a great experience at A1 Brightside Auto. Worked with me on what needed to be done to my car and asked me exactly which route I wanted to go to get it fixed. Was willing to go above and beyond what was required.

Inspection was intentionally failed.On 8/6/14 I took my car to A-1 for an inspection. The owner and I had previously spoken about new tires for the car. I eventually found a better deal somewhere else. On the morning of the inspection the owner noticed the new tires and was upset that I did not purchase them from him. He asked what I paid for them and I told him. He then proceeded to inspect the car. Every single OBD II test passed. There is not a check engine light showing. The owner then called me out to the car and said that the rear wheels were bad somewhere. He did this by pushing and pulling on the wheel. I did not notice a problem. He then said he could not pass the car because of the wheels. He didn't even tell me what the problem was. He said it was a wheel hub and that was not the problem. He then said, "You keep getting new tires but not from me". I personally believe this was a way to get more money out of me because I didn't buy his tires. Now I have to either go back to him and allow myself to be taken advantage of because no other auto inspection place will touch it now fearing a problem from the [redacted]. Desired SettlementI want my car with zero codes showing,new tires, wiper blades and brakes/rotors to pass inspection like it should have from the start. A-1 passed this same car last year without the upgrade in maintenance.Business Response This customer came in for a State Inspection. Every thing he mentioned about the inspection, did pass. Except, he failed for damaged parts, under steering mechanism. The customer became upset for failing the inspection. We physically pointed out the problem on his vehicle and stressed the danger to him and others on the road. Other Inspection Stations may fear a problem with the DMV, by passing it. Is because the problem has not been addressed by the customer. To resolve this problem the customer must repair the above issue and has the option to bring the vehicle back for re-inspection within sixty days of the initial inspection to avoid paying another inspection fee or he can have it inspected anywhere he chooses.
