shop.  Upon arriving on the job she reviewed the work order and signed the document which indicated the travel time and never mentioned any concern.  After the job was completed beyond her expectations as she stated, she gladly signed the service ticket and initialed that everything was ok after going over this at her dining room table, explaining all the charges.  Everything appeared to be ok. However a few days later when she called back and mentioned again that she was more than happy with the service but she now questioned the charge for travel and mileage. I explained again this is standard industry practice for commercial vehicles, carrying all the parts necessary to make the repairs rather than returning a second time.  It costs a great deal of money to stock my vehicles on site with one trip.   I did make the offer in the future that we could make some sort of accomodation for her when returning next year for her maintence, but I got no positive response.Please feel free to contact me if you or she should have any further questions.Edison S[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The charge of $119 per hour to travel the 41 miles to Medimont certainly was not made clear to me before the truck left the shop.  I do recall their telling me of the $1.00 permile charge.  The paper I signed when they arrived had the $119.00 per hour  for labor on it along with the$1.00 per mile verbage.  I did not understand about the hourly charge for travel.  At the end of their visit, they asked for a check.  I did not have money to cover the $1059.30 charge.  Since they had already taken my credit card information to secure the trip ( which I was not comfortable with), I gave permission to run the card.  It was only after they left that I looked closely at the bill.  I asked Edison about it when he called back and subsequently talked to him again about how unfair I felt this was.  He would not concede.  We have lived here nearly 8 years and have had our share of service repair people here.  Most have a flat service call charge, but nothing close to the $439.00 charge we got for A1 Generators and Electric travel time.  Sincerely,[redacted]
