I was notified by home warranty of the actions of my employee. I got three different sides to the story of what happened. My employee knew why he was at the residence for home warranty. The issue was something to do with the water softener, we as A1 Handyman do not service them. I notified home...
warranty of this. I sent my technician out to the customers house to double check and make sure it wasn't a plumbing issue. My technician went out of his way to call technical support to diagnose the problem with the water softener. The customer was notified that a cartridge was needed changed inside the softener. Home warranty does not cover regular maintenance on water softeners. My technician did not take payment for any service he provided to this customer either. I asked him about his actions, what happened about this complaint. He told me when he was greeted he felt unwanted from this customer by their looks towards him, before he even entered the home. He did ask her about a certain fireplace she had in the backyard because it looked nice and he like the design. She got offensive when he asked how it was made. I personally interviewed this employee, before he started working for my company all my employees wear company shirts. He was wearing one that day, I met with him. He has great references and Ive had no other complaints. I believe this customer was trying to get home warranty to pay for something, that isn't covered in her policy. Ive had several issues as of late with home warranty and have terminated my contract with them.
