My mother, who lives in ** state, purchased an Ameriglide Rave chairlift on 07/18/12 with a small parts warranty for 5 years and a motor warranty for 10 years. In the beginning of August 2016, the chairlift stopped working when she tried to use it to ascend the steps. We found Ameriglide's customer service number and were referred by them to call XXX-XXX-XXXX, which is an Ameriglide distributer named [redacted] in Raleigh, NC. After 3 weeks of [redacted] service department manager, [redacted] not returning our phone calls, they finally responded by asking me to provide my mom's chairlift serial number. The reasoning was that they would send a repairman with the correct parts for her chairlift, so he could fix the chair in the first visit. Three days later they called me and charged $285 on my credit card for the initial service visit plus the labor that would be involved. A repairman named [redacted] arrived on 08/26/16. When he arrived, he found that [redacted] had given him the serial number and complaint from someone else's chair service request but gave him my mother's address. Consequently, he could only examine the chair and determined that my mother required a new motor chassis. When he spoke to[redacted], they tied to deny the warranty. He explained that he was holding both the 5-year small parts and 10-year motor warranty in his hand and that she was entitled to a brand new motor chassis.Over three weeks after the service visit, my parents finally got through to [redacted] on the phone. He acted as if he had ordered the motor chassis more than three weeks before. He said he would call them back, but hasn't. It's now been over four weeks since [redacted] called[redacted] to order a part that should have taken 1 to 2 weeks to deliver. My mother is 93 years old and has been crawling up and down the steps every day to get from her bedroom to the kitchen. If she falls down the steps, she could seriously injure or kill herself. Please help me resolve this situation asap. Thank you.Product_Or_Service: Ameriglide Rave chairliftOrder_Number: XXXXXXX Order dateAccount_Number: Invoice # XXXXXXX-INDesired SettlementI want to clearly establish that 1) the parts are covered by the warranties my mom purchased2) a new motor chassis is available and has been ordered3) I won't be charged for labor again, since labor was included in the $285 I already paid. The fact that [redacted] didn't bring the correct parts the first time he came was due to a mistake [redacted] made when they gave [redacted] the wrong serial number. 4)I want the chairlift fixed asap.Business Response Hello, [redacted] is the installation and service company for stairlifts. We did speak to this customer 5 times between August 15th-22nd. We do require a serial number to make sure the stairlift they have is a unit we can service and to try to make sure our technician has most parts on hand to fix the unit in one visit, this obviously is not always possible. We did charge the customer $285.00 to dispatch the technician to his home for a 1 hour service call. Our technician did perform a service call for this customer and determined he needed a new motor chasis, this unfortunately is not a part any technicians carry with them ever in the field. First due to cost and second it fails very rarely. It would be impossible for us to diagnose this customers unit over the phone and send all parts needed to fix the lift with one service call. That is simply our goal to try and fix the customers unit in one visit, as stated this is not always possible. It would be similiar to asking a car mechanic to diagnose your car over the phone and come to your house, with all parts needed to fix it 100 percent of the time. This customer ordered their unit from Ameriglide Inc. and the parts warranty of this unit is through Ameriglide not us. We reported this to Ameriglide on the 29th of August, 6th of September and a final time on the 14th of September. Our suggestion would be for the customer to help us encourage Ameriglide Inc. to honor their warranty of this unit.We cannot be responsible for warranty parts that are covered by another company to provide this customer with the service they are requesting. If the customer would like to purchase the parts, we can come back out and replace the parts to get their unit running again.

Ordered table for gift/promised delivery by Christmas/never received/noone would answer ?'s/ call back/always sent to voicemail/charged my creditcard!I ordered a table for a wheelchair as a Christmas gift for my mother around 12/15 they told me that it would be in by Christmas,it still was not here by the 23rd I believe, they then told me again that it would be here the 24th - still received nothing!! waited til January due to all the days off called again, and again, and again. Kept getting sent to voicemail for [redacted] or [redacted] in parts they never called!! So in January at some point I called and left a message and told them to forget it because I never received the product and no one would call and tell me what was going on. I receive my credit card bill and they charged me on 12/16/2014 $122.19 for a product I never received. I have since on numerous occasions called again and again with the same actions, sent to voicemail and no returned phone calls. I want my money back and also to protect others from this very very poor business practice!!Desired SettlementI want my 122.19 credited back to me and I want some type of report put out for other consumers to look else where as this company is HORRIBLE in servicing the public. Totally ridiculous to make promises, not deliver products, not call customers back and then charge them for products!! I have an 85 year old mother who NEEDS a table to live her life with assistance! this has been so totally frustrating!!Thank you Revdex.com for your help and support in this matter. Business Response Credit was issued to this customer. Sorry you could not reach us. We did not have a single voicemail or we would have called you back. What number were you calling? I would like to look into this and see if we have a phone number going to space. Thank you, [redacted]Consumer Response I had made at least five calls to your main number on your web site[redacted] and was switched to parts and there was another number [redacted] that I had left two messages with my number and the last message out of frustration was to cancel the order. I had called the main number a few times asking to speak to someone and was switched to a extension only to leave another message. I called back again asking to speak to manger owner and could never speak to one. It has been credited back to my account, thank you. Disappointed that I had to go through all this when if I could of talked to a person it could have been straighten out. Final Consumer Response
