I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

Regards,
Kris *** We are reasonable, honest people who expect those who work for us to back up and honor their promises. We have another hairline crack elsewhere that developed from his work , but we haven't mentioned that as we understood that there were no guarantees. The ceiling crack is what this complaint is about and we would not have filed this complaint had A-Plaster not claimed that "I guarantee this area will never crack again."Obviously the statement is boasting, but all the same should be honored as it is a verbal guarantee. Hopefully in the future he won't make statements of guarantee that he doesn't feel inclined to honor

My response is that I never gave a verbal contract of a lifetime guarantee. I would never give a lifetime guarantee on anything nor would any other drywall company in America. It is unheard of because of the nature of construction. Cracks reappear all the time in old houses like that. It has nothing to do with the quality of work but with movement of the building. I give one year warranties on all new construction work and those are always in writing.
I remember doing their home last year and I specifically stated that in old homes there are no guarantees that walls or ceilings wont crack again. Its just the nature of the foundation. I only guarantee no cracks on new construction projects amd on those I submit a standard one year warranty...
in writing. I would never offer a guaranteed warranty on a remodel project. If I did give them a written warranty and I dont remember it then ill be happy to address any issues. Thanks
