I was not at all surprised at the number of complaints and negative reviews of this companyReading the issues that homeowners have had with American Integrity sounded very similar to my experience with them I have been with American Integrity going on years In I filed a claim for wind damage after having a roof inspection by a local roofing company American Integrity took my report and assigned an engineering company to inspect the roof for them The engineer came out and reported that there was some wind damage and missing shinglesAmerican Integrity came back and determined that the damage to the roof was wind damage but was below the 20% needed to replace my roof ( the roof was years old) Their decision was that I should have the damage areas repaired and the estimate they came up with of course was below my deductible, so they would not have to pay anything I contacted several roofing companies who came out to give me an estimate for the repairs Some said that they would not do spot repairs because of the age of the roof and one said they would do it for a higher amount than the insurance estimate, but would not guarantee the work because of the age of the roof
Due to some medical issues, I did not take any further action at that time, since the roof was not leaking I subsequently had another roof inspection later that showed that the wind damage to the roof required replacement of the entire roofI contacted the insurance company again and filed another claim for the same damage They again sent an engineer to inspect who determined that the amount of damage was more extensive than previously reported by the prior engineer They again denied the claimThis time they insinuated that the damage happened prior to the start of coverage through them and also stated that there was evidence of poor installation of the original roofThis is contrary to the findings in the first inspection in which American Integrity had agreed that there had been wind damage I was so upset and angered by this stance that I went and sought help from a private, independent adjuster

Presently we have this month complaint waiting for another "drag your feet" response before we go to Mediation

its been over 100 days and still no repair. A tree branch" main lead" fell on the middle and edge of the roof. The impact coursed damage to the trusses, electrical "weather head/meter", and penetrating the roof causing drywall damage in the home. We called out our own engineer and Architect for blue prints and report shortly after damage accrued, and reported back to American integrity. They at this point have cut a check for under $9,000 dollars when we have a repair bill for over $40,000. If the tree branch didn't fall we wouldn't have needed a claim. We want to be made whole, and put back together in full. Your engineering company" Bracken" are now trying to displace my family sending a letter to the building department saying my house is unsafe, Due to significant section loss to the majority of bottom chord roof trusses. I now have no faith with your company ,and will be making a report to the State and NAIC. p.s. we don't have money to sign $40,000 dollar repair contracts. That's why we have insurance in the first place. Just think about it make us whole. This would have all been a non-issue if the roof was never damaged. I have no money to add to your pot other then monthly payment and deductible.
American Integrity is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. They drug their feet for weeks and then after telling us to leave our home due to roof leak which caused mold then weeks into the claim stated that they wanted to prove the leak occurred outside of 14 days of the claim which would entitle them to deny our living expenses and claim. During the weeks before this, when asked to review our policy coverage, they stated no such "rules." Their field inspector told my pregnant wife that he submitted the report to cover living expenses for us to be displaced from our home. After 3 calls that same day to American "Integrity" (I use this word extremely loosely as they have none), the desk adjustor informed us of a 14 day window prior to the claim that they want to prove our leak was not wirhin or the claim would be denied. Needless to say, we had to hire representation and we were told by them (20 years in the business)that he receives a call with similar issues every other day. I would strongly recommend NOT to use this company.
This insurance company is a terrible company to resolve damage when customer files a claim. Our area had a terrible hail storm damaging many homes. American Integrity found almost 50 areas of damage on my small roof, caused by hail and wind damage. The insurance company feels the areas can be patched with unmatched shingles. I have had roof company's say that the damage is beyond "patching" and my home owners insurance should replace the roof. Every home in my neighborhood that had damage have had their insurance company's cover their damage. Those who have American Integrity Ins, have gone through much resistance from the company covering their damage. The houses to my immediate north, south, east and west have had their roofs replaced with their ins company's. American Integrity refuses. Inspectors and engineers that have looked at my roof says there is more damage on mine, than most. Then why do they refuse to cover my claim?? I am feeling like this company is not a legitimate company.

A few weeks went by and I called the company and encountered a very rude representative. I finally called our insurance broker and said I'd be switching insurance companies. They had one of their owners contact a manager at American Integrity. When the manager called me, I told him about the very bad service I'd received and he said a check was mailed, but I never received it. He promised to expedite a replacement check that day. Two business days later and still no check, so I called and was told by the person who cuts checks that she left early. She'd try to get a check out that day, but couldn't promise anything. I don't understand how the Revdex.com's rates this company so well after seeing the other complaints. My advise - avoid this company!!
