Review: I recently had removed all my belongings from this storage facility on November 1st 2013. I signed in and told the administrator that I was closing it out she said ok no problem let me know when you are done. I had left after my husband arrived and told him to please let them know you are done because I let them know you were closing out the storage and we were up to date with payment nothing due. Then on November 7th I see a charge for the month of November and I called to let them know that it was incorrect the unit had been closed since November 1st when everything was removed. Long story short I called to speak to a supervisor and only have been speaking with a woman named Judy who was helpful but could only do so much. She told me she would get back to me, didn't hear from her tried the next day, my supervisor Susana is busy shes in meetings I am waiting to let her know. Called at the end of the day and still no one got back to me I was told to wait till Monday well today is Monday and I had to call because no one ever did. They told me I was not going to be reimbursed even though I never authorized for my card to be charged automatically ever, I asked to speak with this supervisor and she didn't want to answer my phone call I asked to speak to her supervisors boss and still didn't want to give me a name. So now I am suppose to wait for a call from a [redacted]. I put in a dispute with my back because legally they weren't authorized to charge my card. So I will be stopping by to find out who this supervisor Susana is and who her boss is because legally that isn't right it is not my fault that no one told my husband of the form to sign.Desired Settlement: I would like to be rightfully reimbursed for ilegally charging my debit card with no written or verbal consent. In the past I have been late and never did they charge my card I received a letter if I was late, so why would they all of a sudden take money out from a card that isn't authorized to be on file. If that was the case no one would ever be late and no one would ever have their belongings auctioned off. It is not right and I will fight this because I know they are wrong so If they dont resolve it I will get a lawyer.

Response:

We are responding back in regards to the letter received on November 25, 2013. Our response to her comment is the following:

The tenant, [redacted], was in the storage unit on November 1, 2013 and the tenant was informed that if they plan to vacate they have to fill out a termination form and an inspection of the unit had to be done to close the account.

On November 7th, the tenant’s credit card was charged being that in our system the tenant was still showing as a current tenant. The tenant called our office on November 7, 2013 to inform us she had vacated the unit. The tenant was informed that because she did not fill out the termination form she was still considered a current tenant.

Our credit card company reimbursed her for the charges done on November 7th even though till this day the tenant has not come to our office to officially close her account and make her final payment. See Attach.
