Do not use this Company. They drink on the job and will beg for you to pay them prior to them finishinig. Do not fall for their excuses. I was able to locate Big Als wife and told her that if they did not finishing and clean up their mess from the previous weeks that I will take matters into my own hands. I was able to locate them with the internet. Lil Al and his right hand man were very quiet when they returned with Big Al (ring leader). She stated to me that she did not know of the antics of lil al and his henchmen but I call bs. I did threaten them and got action done. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE HIRING ANYONE. I did look after the fact and payed the price. BIG AL is a local thug so be careful.
Big Al & Sons Tree Service aslso doing business under the name A1 Tree & Storm Relief was employed by us to cut down 8 trees from our property. They told us that they were going to haul off the wood and bundle smaller limbs for city pickup. In the process of cutting down the trees they caused damage to one of our neighbors trees and promised to take care of it, they also caused damage to several shrubs in our yard. They began work on June 20 and finished on June 21. They were paid $6,220 on the 20th and $1,544 on the 21st with their promise that they would be back in the morning to clean up the HUGE pile of debris. They never returned! I called numerous times only to be promised they were coming the next day. They continued to promise to clean up the debris for the next 5 days as I had called them at least 50 times. We are now left with the GAINT pile of limbs, some are 8ft long, logs and stumps. They no longer will answer or return our phone calls. We paid them in good faith and have only received lies and empty promises. We feel totally scammed! We also feel quite foolish in trusting them. I have continued to call with no response.
They were called to remove some branches from a tall tree in the backyard and also to top trees in our side yard. I had to supervise as the owner (Big Al) left to go to another job. I had to remind them to clean up debris and explain what I wanted done again.. when they left there was still branches they removed and it was a mess everywhere. Also no proper receipt was given for the $1900.00 that was paid.
This tree company did work at my neighbors house's, and in the process of doing their work they cut down my 20 year old fig tree and tossed the limbs they cut off the neighbors trees down an embankment behind my house on another property owners land. I called a number of times and they said the owner would call me, he never did. They said someone would come by to take a look and listen to me, but again nothing. I have called a number of times since and all I get is the answering machine now and when I leave a message I get no call back.
I used this company several years ago. Big Al(?) supervised the work. The work was completed timely at what I considered a fair price. I called several weeks ago for new work. Thomas, Big Al's son, came within thirty minutes with a crew of three. Thomas quoted a price I thought fair and immediately began the work, which was not extensive. Thomas does not "climb trees". Tree Climber does not go on roofs. The two helpers loaded the cuttings. I pointed out to Thomas and Tree Climber that some of the branches had fallen on the other side of a roof pitch and would have to be removed. I observed much of their work as it was accomplished. Thomas wanted to be paid in cash and I did pay in this manner with a receipt. Thomas did not check with me before leaving. I checked the debris after Thomas left the job. They did not remove the limbs on the other side of the roof pitch; left other branches on top of our azaleas; and left large pieces of cut limbs on the ground beside the house. I left Thomas a message on his VM, he never returned my call. A week later I noticed that a forearm size branch in the tree had been broken and left hanging down. Fortunately I was able to remove. I would never use this company again nor would I refer anyone to the company.
