A1A Home Inspections of S. Florida, Inc.

This company is very unprofessional in their business tactics. I originally got an inspection using their services last year. They reported incorrectly that there were live termites. I had a second inspection done by an actual licenced termite company and they determined there were no live termites.

This year I am selling the house and the buyer I was in contract with hired this same company as their inspector. First off, that is a blatant conflict of interest. That should have been immediately disclosed that to the buyer. Inspector did not disclose that until the inspection was finished and billed. They also pulled information off of MY purchased report from last year and provided that to the buyer as well. That buyer did not pay for that information, I did. They also incorrectly disclosed that there were active termites (again) when they are not a termite inspection company. This was not detailed in report however, but in a personal email to our buyer outside of the report.

Of course our buyer's response was to immediately pull out of the deal on this basis. We had a second inspection done by a licensed termite inspector and they determined once again that there were no live termites. Both myself, my realtor, and the buyer's realtor are not happy with our experience. Unorthodox method of delivering inspection results, shoddy business practices, and most importantly incorrect inspection results is the reason for my review today. I urge you to choose another company.
