Review: Misrepresentation of the amount of the service. The letter states $75.00 for in-home computer accessment and one-half off. No where does it allude to $150.00 fee. [redacted] turned the computer on and stated there is a blue screen. Okay. To fix the computer is $400. Ok. So me and my wife choose to just pay the fee, which he states is normally $150.00 and the coupon brings it to $150.00. It doesnt say that on the coupon. I paid this guy $45.00 just to get out of my house. [redacted] then tries to work a different deal on the amount to fix the computer. This is a SCAM. I have had plenty of professionals come to my house. This company needs to be stopped. [redacted] has called my house more than 20 times threatning legal action for his $30.00. Please help.Desired Settlement: Due to misrepresentation of the facts and not providing an adequate service and that the company received $45.00 for doing nothing. The case is settled and closed.

Response:
1st. Our message delivers a very clear figure on the mail piece. This is what it stats: “We offer a low flat fee of $75.00* for any on-site service. This service is 50% off the original value for a limited period of time.” * Additional off-site service charges depend on the type of computer. 2nd. The phone number that he gave as his contact wasn’t a correct phone number, he was never been contacted / threaten on his phone at all.

Response:
I am rejecting this response because: it is incorrect. It is not clear on the coupon what exactly is the actual fee. I have had several businesses come to my home and never have I felt that the business was attempting to swindle me. After he revealed what the actual price of telling me that my computer has a blue screen. My wife and I decided if we were going to pay the fee it would be more cost effective to have our computer fixed for $200.00. Which he then stated would be additional to the fee. At that point I was done talking with this man, as he was talking out of both sides of his mouth. I explained at that point we would not have his business repair our computer. He then asked me what price I was willing to pay and to talk to a manager. I was totally done by that point and wanted this dubious business person out of my home.
