We did not charge for a crate and there was no fish tank on the inventory for the survey or on the drivers inventory for the household goods loaded and delivered.If you review the attachments, you can confirm that we charged the exact amount of the binding price proposal. The customer requested a binding price and we did the move without charging for a shuttle. As stated before, [redacted] has the responsibility for accepting and processing all claims for interstate moves on. October 20, 2014, [redacted] denied the customer's clams for damage.As a local agent for [redacted] we have to accept the determinations made by [redacted] regarding any and all claims.

filed an insurance claim with the company in a timely manner. Two months later we received a wholesale rejection of our claim. Not sure how the company is surprised after they rejected all responsibility for damages and missing items.

Review: We hired the company to move us from NJ to VA. We had a firm quote with a full list of what was to be packed, etc. We purchased additional insurance through the company to cover our move. The move was rather disorganized, and though not terrible, several items were discovered to be missing or damaged. In fact, on delivery, the driver stated that an armoire had broken in transit and was not delivered. Other items of issue include a large missing fish tank that we paid over $500 to simply have packed and un-packed. The item is not even listed on the inventory (yet clearly shows in the agreement), so there was no place to indicate its missing nature. Other items were damaged or missing, but effort was made to hide the damage from us at the time of the move--boxes put over scratches on tables, furniture reversed to not show new damage, etc. To actually go through all of the moved items, make sense of the inventory and list each damaged item would have taken the movers days of rearranging, etc. Such was not a reasonable request, and the company should not be allowed to profit from its own misdeeds.Desired Settlement: The mover should make a reasonable effort to repair the repairable damage. The mover should replace the non-delivered items.

I contacted AA American Moving & Storage at the last minute for a move across the county. They were able to fit me in. They came under the original quote and everyone from the packers to the movers were delightful, fast and courteous. I highly recommend AA American.
