REF: Case # *** ToWhom it may concern: Wehave read the comments from the daughter of our customer and find that therendition is lacking some relevant information, particularly to the fact thatthe owner apparently purchased a “hardware store quality” pump and tried to fixthe
issue himself, without a licensedcompany registered with the public health department. Notonly was it not advisable to repair something of this nature without theappropriate credentials, replacing the pump to the system is not what weadvised as the issueHaving to work in the “filth” is also hardly ourresponsibility either, since we advised that portals to main points of entry tothe system were inaccessible due to an illegal driveway paved over them, andthe filth as he mentions was a ten year build up from his own tenants. Wewere given a record drawing of the system by the daughter, which clearlyindicated three tanks under the pavementWe tried to discuss this with theowner that breaking up the pavement was the only way to access the tanks for athorough inspection and pumpingHe flatly denied there were any tanks beneath thedriveway, declining our services. Toreview the findings, the filth from the system, as we informed the customer, was from the following misuse:Surplusof tenants occupying the home, thus system buckling under excessive use to which it has not been designed.Dueto this misuse, the solid build up was at 90% capacity, and not the 33% whereit is advisable for immediate attention for pumping.Understrained conditions, the system had not been pumped for ten years, which is at the very least, six years past the advisable time frame for typical use…..which this had notbeen experiencing with such an overflow of residents.Accessfor pumping the remaining three tanks under the pavement was declined by theowner. Inconversation, with the owner, all of our findings were discussed however, theowner refused to consider our expertise stating we were wrong on all of ourfindingsWe document all scheduled properties, so photos are available shouldyou request them. Lastly, the owner did call us but was not available for us to retune the callssuccessfully, therefore we left messagesOur business hours are 7:am to4:pm , but the calls were coming in as late as 6:pm, such as the one lastnight, June 30th, 2015. Inconclusion, we feel this owner has not been cooperative in allowing us to doour job professionallyHis main complaint was working in filth, which was theten years of accumulation from his tenants, after years of neglect by himWe receivedhis attempts to call us after business hours, but were unable to respond whenhe, or his daughter were available. KindestRegards, ChristineC***Owner/Administrator

Mr*** asked us to fix his systemIn order to access the components of a septic tank to find a flaw, we needed to remove the contaminated water, sm, and sludge from the system as we cannot have employees working inside human wasteA pump out is necessary to do so, and it is not freeWe performed the pump out to begin the repair process per his instruction, and began the process of finding the fault with his systemThis is not always able to be done at the first service as different items may need to be testedWe began by testing the floats, then worked on his panel, which we advised an electrician to look atThat is when Mr*** became abusive to our office employees and fired the company. We offered a compromise to Mr*** to reduce his bill to only the pump out, but he has still refusedWe intend to collect on this accountIt is not AA's fault his system wasn't working, it's not AA's fault he didn't like the answers he got.Attached are copies of our work orders showing the beginnings of our attemptsPage is the RME report that Mr*** received a copy of showing we filed this pump out with the countyI also attached a copy of his invoice and a screen shot of his system's county page, showing he didn't have anyone else come out and fix his system and report it properlyThe 'backup' he sent you was a screenshot of the email we sent with his paperwork, not showing the full invoice nor this report, which were attached

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
This is the first time I heard from MrC*** after we spoke 0n December when he came to the house to check that the basement still has flooding issuesAfter that he told me he will call me or write a letter to the city, but I did not hear from himHis assistant Christin repeatedly told my wife he would get back to me but never didThis left me with no choice to contact the Revdex.comWhen I first contacted AA American I didn’t have a Septic problem I just needed to have the septic tank emptied outAt that time the basement had flooding issues, and he told me he could fix it and I thought it was fixed until it started raining and the basement starting flooding againHe is correct when he said I did not contracted him to fixed the basement problem, however he stated that it could be doneAs you can see I paid the amount of $to empty the septic tank and he charged me $2,for additional work which he said that the basement flooding would stop (I know there is an outstanding balance of $250.00)If he would have told me that the work would have cost to $10, I think it would have been appropriate for him to let me know so I could make that decision instead of paying money for a job that did not fixed the issueI have been responsible by hiring your companyI just don’t think is fair for a company to come and promised that they can fix the issue take my money and then when you try to get hold of them they do not return phone calls or emails.( it seems like a scam to me)
If you want to write a letter to the city of *** or not that’s up to youYou emptied the septic tank which I paid for, however you still own me the money that I paid out to fix the flooding. You can minus the $from the $2,I can definitely use this money to pay a professional to fix this issue that you were supposed to take care of, and now it’s costing me thousands of dollars
Sincerely,*** ***

Subject: Re: Revdex.com COMPLAINT #*** *** *** VS AA AMERICAN SEPTIC INC.I never hired AA American Septic to pump out my systemI hires them to fix my systemWhich I was told they would do the repairs on that MondayI never heard from them again until I called them two days later on a WednesdayBy this time the tank was again over flowingI had thought they fixed it on Monday because that is what they said they would do. I asked to speak to the manager or ownerI was still not told what work was performedThe dispatcher did not know. Thursday I talked to the General ManagerHe stated that I got the system pumped just like I hired them to doI stated that I did not hire them to pump the system but to fix itHe stated that they did not do thatHe had no explanation on why his employees would take on a job that AA American Septic does not perform. I stated I just want it fixedAnd that cost was not a issuesAfter thinking about itI realised that this company lacked integrity After trying to call the General Manager back without luck I called the officeI stated that I no not want them working on my system. At this point I stated that I do not wish to pay for services not renderedI was told that a lean would be placed on my house and I would be sued.I replied that if that happeds I will just have to counter sueAA American Septic hung up on me.Stating that I will counter sue after being threatened with a lawsuit is not harassment. I never hired them to just pump put my system. To this date I do not have any report on what was wrong with my system. They did not fix it.I had to hire another company to pump, inspect and fix the unit.I never had any contract with AA American Septic.I feel that I should not have to pay the invoice since the services requested were not performed. Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S

I believe the matter has been resolved. Thank you!

On 2/28/17, Mr*** called us stating his system was overflowing and he thought there may be a clog in the pumpHe hired us to come and pump out his system and inspect to find the nature of the problemOn the SAME DAY, we sent our pump technician to pump the tank, clean the floats, and
inspect for clogsNone were foundAt that time we scheduled our O&M technician to inspect his pump on 3/2/Tech found a lack of power going to the pump panelThis was all inspected before the tank "filled back up"We suggested he call an electrician to look at the systemWe did give a recommendation, but cannot comment on what happened there as we only gave a phone number and did not act as agents in that process. After he hired his own electrician (whose findings we have not seen and cannot confirm), he called our office, verbally harassed our dispatcher who tried her best to go over the problem with him (I could hear him yelling at her through the phone from across the room), and THEN gave us the information that the system had not been working properly since a previous storm knocked debris into their electrical system, we asked our General Manager to contact himHe told our General Manager he didn't care what it cost, to just fix itThen he called back and left a voice mail with the GM "firing" usHe then called our office and informed us again that we were "fired"The office said OKThen Mr*** stated he would not be paying for any servicesThe office informed him that at the minimum, a pump out WAS performed at his request and he needed to pay for the serviceHe was also informed that the office does file liens against homes on unpaid invoicesWhen he began his verbal harassment again, the office hung up.We have sent an invoice and a notice to Mr*** stating that we would agree to collect for the pump out only and waive the additional service call for the inspection in the interest of closing this file, as the pump out service was performed at his request, and the inspection findings not being to his liking are not the fault or cause of AA American Septic

We were called out to the site to address a septic problem. Basement plumbing was backed up with sewage. Water levels in septic tank were high because of a failing drainfield. As the owner did not have much funds to work with we were asked to try to correct the drainfield failure. After excavating, with a trackhoe, in the back yard we were able to locate some unused drainfield to connect into. By installing new pipe, from the septic tank, to the unused drainfield ,we were able to solve the septic issues. We spent most of the day on this project.
The owner has consistently confused the storm problem with the septic problem. They are two separate issues. As I stated earlier he may have basement drainage problems due to the construction activity in the right of way. They may have disrupted the main drain pipe from the house at the time of the road work. He needs to look elsewhere for flooding problems. Either installing new footing drains around the perimeter of the house or replacing the main drain to the street. Or maybe both. Estimated cost for both would be 8-10,000.00

Again as stated on the previous response we were contracted to fix the septic problem! The drains were backing up in the house so we corrected the issues with the septic as we were asked to do. The previously attached work orders will verify. We were not contracted to fix the basement footing drain...

problem! That was a separate issue! This repair would have cost much more to fix 5-10,000. We were not authorized nor did we do anything about this separate problem. Mr. [redacted] is fixated on finding someone else responsible for this problem and seemingly does not accept responsibility himself.
As stated before I would be willing to write a letter to the city of [redacted], indicating my opinion that there is a potential problem with the work they did, possibly causing Mr. [redacted] basement flooding issues. I will not do so, however, until I am paid for the septic repair work that was done previously. (643.11)

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

I didn't have a septic tank problem when I contacted his company, I just wanted to have the septic tank empty. He said that by doing the additional work the basement flooding problem would be resolved, otherwise I would not have spent additional money for this issue that could have been resolved by another company, he inspected the basement area and he determined he could resolve the problem. he never mentioned the fact that it could be any additional cost.
I want a refund becasue i'm currently working with a Licensee contractor to repair what he did not repaired.
Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Regardless of whether or not the work you did was needed or not, you failed to contact me prior to doing so. You trespassed on my property, and performed work outside of what I hired you for.
If I take my car to get an oil change, it doesn't mean the shop gets to change my brakes without letting me know first.

Sincerely,[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] called us in September to complete a property transfer inspection on his property for a home sale. He confirmed his appointment over the phone with me personally.

The inspection was completed on 9/9/16 and filed with the county on 9/12/16.

In order to inspect his...

system, we had to dig to locate all of his system components. We are required to inspect all components when doing a property transfer inspection. We needed a trackhoe to dig up his distribution box as there was no other way to access it.

Mr. [redacted] approved all of this work until his system showed deficiencies. This is the first time he made any complaints.

He paid his bill in full and we do not intend to refund him.

This is the first time I have seen these reports.  They were not sent to me before. Again the issue is not that the unit was pumped I know it needs pumped to fix it but it was not fixed. And I was not given a repot u til today.
