Contractor never returned to finish the work he was paid for. Door frames not put up, transition peices for new wood floor never put in. Sloppy work. Leaks in new metal roof on new porch roof that he says he already fixed, front porch colomn wrapped in metal bent wrong and put up anyway, never put up house numbers,messed up walls in bathroom putting up trim and never told me or fixed it. Had a list of jobs for him to do as I was running out of money. He agreed to do them all for what I had, we were going to paint the outside of the house but he said it would only be alittle extra to side so I said ok. When the job of siding was done he refused to do the rest of the work on the list. He said it was more work to side so he was done. He said it was my fault, I should has know he would not do all the things on the list when I decided to side the house because it was more work to side. I told him if he had told me that, I would have painted because I needed all the outside work done since I was out of money and he knew that. He also was contracted to make 10 bookcases for me. Those he has brought were rough and the doors are not straight. The rest he said he would deliver 7 weeks ago have still not been brought to me. He says he is to busy with school and will not come to finish the few jobs he owes me let alone the jobs we disagree he owe me, such as the transition peices for the wood floor. The bookcases were ordered in April on an ASAP timeline. This contractor is unreliable, messy and you cannot count on him to clean up after himself. He brought no tools with him as far as ladders or drop clothes, he stood on our wood chairs to paint the inside walls and our stepstool and got paint all over them. I would like to get restitution for all the anxiety I have been through as will as having to have someone else come in and fix things he never did and finish the outside on the house, (painting trim and garage doors and bulkhead doors). I paid him thousands of dollars for these jobs, I want $4000 back.
