I was towed last night by Phil's Towing because I parked in a strip mall over the hour limit (fair enough)The cost to get my car back was exactly $ I know this is too much because my wife was towed last year from an accident scene and the cost was less than halfAlso, they would ONLY accept cash
[redacted] they tow your car and hold it at ransomHere is the plot they did- Pkg lot at [redacted] avenue Oakville was lit badly [redacted] and no parking sign was made to fall so its hidden Phils towing comes to grab the [redacted] car and towe it away They then charged me $to get back my car mins after towing....the driver had not even offloaded the car in the towers lot few km away when I reached to get back the car The driver Ed and owner Mike Awere [redacted] and did not release the car that was trapped [redacted] from the owner at [redacted] Ave, Oakville [redacted] ***
My car was towed by Phil's Towing for parking in a 3rd Line/Dundas parking lot on a Sunday morning I concede I was wrong to park as I was visiting the hospital but the practices by this towing company are terrible They are looking for every possible opportunity to tow people, they demand cash only and there phone manners are terrible They charged by $cash to get my car out of the lot
[redacted] I was a customer of the plaza where I parked my vehicle only come back and find my vehicle gone The plaza owner and the tow company should be ashamed of them selves [redacted] So my vehicle is gone and I look around to see a small sign and then the tow company sign to call if vehicle missingSo I call and quote a cost of $to pickup and when I get there they tell me it has jumped to $ When asked for proof of price guide and towing license the comment was "THERE IS NO ONE AND DON'T HAVE TO" Then I asked to inspect my vehicle and Mike point bank say no ..money first Mike would not even provide proof for all the charges such as images when askedMike said call the cops but they won'd do anything [redacted] Now we can see by he has not Accreditation from the Revdex.com! [redacted]
The person who owns this is name Mike He and his colleague, [redacted] , they are not only ***, they are [redacted] and [redacted] [redacted] they camp outside and wait not even minutes before you leave the car and tow it away When we had asked for photo evidence, he not only didn't provide it he refused to His [redacted] colleague said to me "if you want your car back, you WILL pay", and he smiles to me as he says this Towing in GTA I think online It says it cannot exceed 295$ Mike obviously takes advantage of this, charges this 295$ plus tax and then adds another bogus charge of 60$ to "open up the gate" Is this even legal? Anyways, we will file a complaint about him [redacted] [redacted]
