PS to Cincinnati Revdex.com---thank you for your timely help. I am sorry I had to resort to a complaint to resolve my problem. BTW---in your message to me you included a web site to use instead of clicking on a link in your message---the web site does not work. I, like many people do not like having to click on links in emails

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to mePlease let Gary Price (the respondant) know that unfortunately, I do not have the name of the agents with whom I spokeHowever, the number I used was the AAA customer service line at ###-###-####, listed on the confirmation of my reservationI appreciate your assistance in this matter
Regards,

We sincerely apologize for the difficulty that *** has experienced in getting this reimbursement processed and payment received. The different addresses and entities she has been dealing with are not responsible for our Club's reimbursement payments; we will look into how those came to be used and try to prevent access to them in the future. Our reimbursement form is available on line at aaa.com under the automotive page in the road service section. Beyond that any of our District Offices can provide a copy of the reimbursement form upon request; they actually are being processed in *** ***.
AAA will be sending *** a refund in the amount of the $for her road service expense and providing her with a refund for her membership dues of last year. This check should be processed and mailed early next week
The reimbursement should have been processed and paid as quickly as our Club received the documentation. Again we apologize for the delay and inconvenience caused *** in obtaining her refund.

*** ***,
We sincerely apologize for the lack of customer service that you received from AAA in getting this matter resolved. We will be sending you a check this week in the amount of $for the reservation along with providing you a renewal certificate in the amount of
$in recognition of the difficultly, inconvenience and displeasure you have experienced.
AAA strives to provide outstanding customer service and it is quite upsetting to us when something like this occurs. Is it possible that you could provide us with the telephone numbers and names of the individuals that you visited with so we can identify just exactly where we failed? This would provide us the opportunity to follow up and ensure this type of problem doesn't occur again
Again, we apologize in how this matter handled. A refund check and renewal certificate are forthcoming. We hope that AAA can continue to provide you with your travel service needs in the future.
Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do
Sincerely,
Gary Price,

For case [redacted] we have tried contacting [redacted] but we have only been able to leave a voicemail.  We are offering to cover the cost of the fuses as a gesture of goodwill.  As it states in the AAA handbook "In many areas, facilities are independent businesses. ...

Responsibility for loss, damage, or unsatisfactory workmanship remains with the facility providing service."  In this case a contractor serviced her vehicle so anything further [redacted] would need to address with our contractor Club Assist Road Service.       Thank You,

The claimed damage involves an AAA independent contractor which is contractually responsible for any and all the service they render.  Stating that, as a courtesy to our member and to the contractor our AAA Field Representative investigated the damage and came to the conclusion the...

damage claimed is consistent with damage that would occur when a vehicle broke a ball joint, which is the case with this vehicle.  The contractor was of the same opinion that the damage was pre-existing upon his arrival at the scene of disablement and caused by the mechanical failure, a broken ball joint, of the vehicle.
The damage claim has been denied and communicated with the member.
One option that may be available to the member is for the damage to be subrogated by her insurance company against that of the independent contractor.  Normally her insurance company's adjuster would examine the damage and make a decision whether or not to file claim against that of the tow company's insurance policy.  Those two insurance companies would determine the outcome of the claim.
AAA is not taking responsibility for the damage.
Thanks

In reviewing our Club records and phone recordings AAA findings do not align with [redacted]’s complaint.
Our records indicate [redacted] bought a battery for his 1997 Honda back in August of 2011.  With that purchase date, [redacted] is eligible for a prorated battery...

replacement under our warranty program costing him right at $68.   The battery [redacted] referenced within his complaint was installed in a [redacted] back in December of 2013.  The warranties on batteries are not transferable; if a battery is removed from one vehicle and placed in another that voids the warranty.
[redacted] advised [redacted] of the above information and shared with him that even though his AAA membership was expired earlier this year, AAA would honor the pro-rated warranty and replace the battery for the $68 price.  She also shared with him if he could provide the warranty paperwork for the battery that was installed in December of 2013 showing it was installed in his 1997 Honda we would be more than happy to replace this battery at no charge.
Ms. [redacted] and the other staff of AAA that [redacted] has been dealing with in regards to this complaint have been respectful and professional in their communications.  However, I cannot say that about [redacted].  From our driver at the scene of disablement, to our call center supervisor and Ms. [redacted], [redacted] has been very aggressive, demanding and has personally demeaned our staff on recorded telephone lines calling our AAA staff “white trash” and “f. ing cracker”.
AAA will not be providing a free replacement as he has requested.
Even with the behavior that [redacted] has exhibited and even though [redacted] is no longer an AAA member, AAA will honor, and as of last evening, has honored our product warranty that is applicable to the battery installed in his [redacted] back in August of 2011.
Thanks
