AAA American Flag Dec Co. Inc. Reviews (1)

Review: I provided a service to this company and sent them merchandise that is not resaleable, due to printed banner for a business. The customer was unable and was extremely rude when he called about the merchandise. I misunderstood the orders and it was printed on a different material that I took as what he wanted. After speaking with him that afternoon he put a stop payment on his check and is not willing to pay for the product that I cannot use. The cost of the banners were 540.00 plus my bank also charged us a return check fee. He tells me to stop moaning. He has been extremely unprofessional and rude. He has had the product shipped to his customer and has had the product since before Christmas 2013 and as of today 1/**the customer still has possession of the artwork.Desired Settlement: I want at least partial payment for the product. As I am not able to resale and I lost money on the material, ink, and time to print.

Response to Review: [redacted]

I contacted Sarasota Gearhead and Garage, initially by phone, wishing to order banners in poly poplin, the fabric that my customer requested. The vendor I had used prior to that order informed me that they no longer printed on that fabric and recommended [redacted]'s company, indicating that they did use it. In that initial conversation, [redacted]either didn't hear me or misunderstood my requirements, because she never informed me that she couldn't fulfill them.

On 12/**/13, I emailed [redacted] a purchase order, # [redacted], excerpted below, which explicitly stated the fabric I was ordering.

47” WIDE x 90” HIGH VISIBLE (47” W x 96” H OVERALL PRINTED) SINGLE POLY POPLIN VERTICAL BANNER PRINTED 4 COLOR PROCESS FOR USE IN RETRACTABLE BANNER CASSETTE. ...ETC.

The banners [redacted] sent were made from the wrong fabric. Only after the banners were made did I find out that she doesn't use poly poplin and could not have made the banners as ordered. This left me in the unfortunate position of having to disappoint my customer, and leave him with this choice: use the banners [redacted] made, though wrong, for the event he'd ordered them for, or do the event without any banners, since time was too short to make new ones. Under the circumstances, he opted (reluctantly) to accept the banners for one-time use. I am in the process of getting the banners back from the customer and notified [redacted] via email on 1/**/14 that I would be shipping them to her in her original shipping material as soon as I got them. I will then have to remake the banners, correctly, for my customer's use in future events.

Had [redacted] read and paid attention to my P.O., the entire problem could have been avoided with a simple phone call from her to question my order. She could have told me then that she didn't use poly poplin and I would have cancelled the order before the banners were made. She admitted not reading the entire P.O. in an email dated 12/**/13:

“You never said Poly Poplin in our conversation prior the the PO. Yes my bad for not really reading the wording past the word poly.”

Her assertion that I never said poly poplin in our conversation is not true, but in any case, she acknowledges that she didn't pay attention to the crucial specifics in my P.O. I therefore believe that the responsibility is hers for not fulfilling my order.

I will now have to pay to have the set of banners remade by another vendor. If I have to pay for the set of incorrect banners (which I don't believe I should have to do anyway) as well as the new banners and all the shipping charges, I will lose money on this order, not to mention that my relationship with my customer was jeopardized. Since [redacted] required payment in full in advance, I felt I had no recourse but to stop payment on the check I sent her.

As to the charge that I was “unprofessional and rude”, I'd like to quote from another email from [redacted] to me, dated 1/**/14:

“Oh I'm not moaning or nagging of course you would think that since your an arogant as and obviously have no respect for women in business”

I would say her language toward me qualifies as unprofessional and rude. And the charge that I have no respect for women in business is ludicrous. My business co-owner and partner of many years is a woman, whom I have the utmost respect for. My attitude toward [redacted] has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that she's a woman, and everything to do with the unacceptable service I received from her.

If you wish I can send you the entire email thread.

Thank you for your attention.
