AAA Asphalt Reviews (5)

As far as the driveway aesthetics it honestly looked goodMrs *** called us(AAA ASPHALT) the next day to inform us that there were still some cracks in the driveSo my scheduler(***) immediately got a hold of my seal coating foreman and sent him back that day in order to resolve the
issue quicklySo the only cracks that my foreman saw was in an area of surface cracks(an area that was about 20' x 20') that was showing up yet through the sealerSo he hit up all of the very deepest surface cracks within that area with a hot rubberized crack filler as we would normally do in attempt to satisfy the customer. Then the next day I (***) received a call stating that there were still cracks all through the driveSo I came back (for the company being a 3rd time ) in order to see what exactly what they were talking about that my guys were totally missingI looked at the drive and determined that (with being in the business for yrs) that the drive has surface cracking due to excess sealer put on the drive and there for it has what is called "checking"I don't feel that the drive was install wrong at allI only stated that it could have been a problem with the asphalt when it was pavedBut after looking at it it had appeared to look like there was an abundance of sealer that caused the problem.Even though they told me it was yrs old I told them that in my yrs of being in this industry that I have never seen a drive that had a build up of sealer like that only in the yrsI was just guessing that they may have lost track of time when stating how old the drive was. The sealing was done properly initially but what I told them I would do is touch up the crack filler marks with sealer again to help blend those in a little better(at no charge)But if they wanted more than that is that we could put on entirely another coat with a broom in order to "help" fill the checked areas to make it appear more flust was also explained in detail to the customers that when brooming the sealer on it would eventually within a couple weeks evaporate the water content within those checked areas and look the same as it did when I came out there to look at itBut if customers request an entire 2nd coat this is way more than was stated that would be done in the first contractThat is why I would need to charge moreI would still be willing to come back and broom on the 2nd coat with a commercial asphalt sealer for an additional $Which would be exactly half of the first estimateI asked the customer to think about which option they wanted and to let me knowI was hoping to hear from them but instead they contacted youEither way I would do what I said to try to helpThey are more than welcome to contact me or the Revdex.com to inform me of which way they would like to proceedI deeply apologize about this taking a few weeks but we have been very busyI at least wanted to get this response in within the days that Revdex.com requested it be. I always try as hard as I can to fix or somehow resolve any issues with customersMy efforts(by going back twice and trying to rectify the situation) should show I want the very best for my customers

It is my experience that AAA Asphalt lakes in customer service. They seem to want your money and leave you hanging. The sale person and the owner are unprofessional and do not want to talk to you unless you are throwing money their way. I have requested a refund and got grief from the company. Be smart choose a different company. Not one like this that does not care about the customer.

I hired AAA Asphalt to take care of a residential property for a couple week interim while the house was up for rent and no one was living in it. The first time they came to the house, they plowed all of the driveway snow into the garage, leaving it inaccessible. I have a longer narrow driveway that parallels the house, which is common in Milwaukee. I have no idea why you would use a large snow plow instead of an average sized snow blower for this type of property. If AAA Asphalt isn't equipped to handle this sort of driveway, they shouldn't take those jobs. After leaving the driveway inaccessible, I didn't hear anything from them for over a week, despite the fact that I sent several emails, explaining that at the very least, I needed the large snow piles removed before the new tenants moved in. It snowed several more times during the two week period. AAA Asphalt claimed that they took care of the snow one more time, but it was all but impossible to tell if anything had been done. As part of my contract, I requested salting to keep the sidewalk and steps functional, which they didn't do, leaving everything a complete mess. Before the new tenants moved in, my husband and I had to recruit a neighbor and spend a couple hours getting the place in passable condition. Given that all of the large snow piles and ice had sat for two weeks in freezing conditions, it didn't look great, but there was nothing else to be done at that point. AAA Asphalt finally did contact me at 8:30 p.m. on a Friday, three days before the new tenants moved in. Then they called, emailed, and texted the next morning, upset that I hadn't returned the Friday night call right away. At that point, my husband and I had dealt with the snow and were no longer in need of their services. We explained why we were so upset. They didn't apologize and made it clear that we were going to have to pay for everything. Given the extremely poor nature of their work, I don't believe that we should have had to pay for any of their services. But the amount of money that I owed wasn't worth a small claims court case so I did pay for it. I never would have imagined that a snow removal company could do such a poor job all the way around. I would never recommend AAA Asphalt to anyone I know in need of snow removal services in the greater Milwaukee area.

Review: I had my driveway sealed by AAA Asphalt from [redacted]. A few days after completion the driveway looked awful like it was just spray coated and none of the fine hairline cracks were filled in. We contacted the salesperson and he said he would notify the installation crew and they would be out to look at it. We told him to call us when he was coming out. He never called us and after we returned home that evening, we noticed that he randomly smeared crack filler through the middle of all the small cracks. It looked even worse and now we're looking at random patching throughout our driveway. We contacted [redacted] of AAA). He came out and did say the installer didn't do a good job and he would come out and reseal our driveway for an additional $150. My complaint is that even with a re-seal it would not cover up the random patching and I shouldn't have to pay an additional $150 to cover up their poor job they did in the first place.Desired Settlement: I would like the driveway re-sealed (broomed in) to my satisfaction at no additional expense to me or have a full refund of the $280 that I initially paid them.

Response:

As far as the driveway aesthetics it honestly looked goodMrs [redacted] called us(AAA ASPHALT) the next day to inform us that there were still some cracks in the drive. So my scheduler([redacted]) immediately got a hold of my seal coating foreman and sent him back that day in order to resolve the issue quickly. So the only cracks that my foreman saw was in an area of surface cracks(an area that was about 20' x 20') that was showing up yet through the sealer. So he hit up all of the very deepest surface cracks within that area with a hot rubberized crack filler as we would normally do in attempt to satisfy the customer.

Recently, we tried to hire AAA Asphalt LLC to snowplow a relative's driveway on an on call basis only, because we had a primary snowplowing service and submitted numerous Emails to them to that effect. We thought we had come to an ageement with them and signed a contract with the belief that was what we were getting. After 2 snowstorms we received a very obnoxious an insulting phone call from the owner telling us that we were going to be charged the minimum charge for them sending their driver out 2 times even though they didn't do any work, and were never called, because it had already been plowed by someone else. I told him that was not our understanding of the contract. He told us we didn't know what we were talking about. We told him to tear up the contract. He has in fact sent us a bill for one snow removal. He says it's to cover his gas. We never called him for service. If he didn't want to do it on an on call basis, he should have told us and we would have found someone else. It's his fault that he used his gas.
