My daughter bought a 2002 [redacted] - three days after purchase - it broke down. We were misled on condition. And it was high pressure sales.Car was purchased on Thursday - January 22, 2014 after meeting with dealer TWICE and having phone calls with questions being answered that the vehicle was in good shape - we had a list! The car broke down on Saturday the 24th. Had battery tested - needed a battery - thought that was okay - it is a used car. Car did not start. We had car towed home (broke down away from home) mechanic and tow driver - said it sounded like it involved fuel pump or modulator. Even [redacted] said this after describing problem in detail. A mechanic came to the house on his own time - found out it was fuel modulator and found broken wires just taped together. Had car towed to [redacted] Transmission. Modulator replaced - car started running - got it back Monday. Car went dead Monday night - mechanic thinking alternator.Nothing is happening. Contacted, sales rep [redacted] to let him know what is happening - a car should not break down after 3 days. Yes we know it is a used car. That is why we were not surprised on the battery. But my daughter went down a check list of parts - "Oh, all is working great - I have been driving for 3 months." My daughter had arranged for her own financing - she went to just look at it the previous Saturday - the high pressure sales and their own financing started - a half day spent there - no car. Back on Thursday with the approved financing and 500 down to the dealer (which we know just went into sales reps pocket). So, now, the car is at my daughter's work. She is a college student, a reserve officer, trying to get into the police academy and works[redacted]. Regardless we will have to have the car towed again. We are requesting full refund or complete repairs and look over of the car with a 6 month warranty. Desired SettlementWe either want a full refund including the 500 down payment plus all that has been spent on the car. Or the car inspected by an agreed upon mechanic from one end to the other - all repairs paid by dealership with 1 year warranty on all repairs and parts.
