AAA Handyman Services of Boone, NC

Review: I hired AAA Handyman Services of Boone, NC to do drywall repair in the living room & a bedroom which consisted of repairing existing Sheetrock in the living room and repairing (walls) and hanging new Sheetrock (on the ceiling) in the bedroom. They were also to remove an exterior door which they would frame, hang drywall and prep. Before giving a price quote I did a walk through with [redacted] telling him my expectations and to ensure the doors were closed to those rooms to prevent the dust didn't cover the rest of the house which he assured me he was a professional and the work would be to my satisfaction. He told me it would take 2 days to complete which I told him that was fine since I'm typically only here on weekends. I was at the house on that Monday (12-02) when they started, [redacted] dropped off a coworkers then left but did come back a few hours later with another worker dropped him off. Throughout the day they would work 20 mins then go take a 10 min smoke break which this was the routine that day. I left a check with my Dad to pay upon completion & doing a walk through to ensure the work was completed. Big mistake because he did not but did write [redacted] the check for payment. On the initial walk through [redacted] told me when he was done that it would be paint ready since I was paying him an extra $250 to prime the walls and ceiling. At the end of that week they were still working on this & said they would be done Saturday which they did not. I planned to be back the following Thursday (12/12) to paint, I had talk to my Dad which he told me they completed on Monday (12/9)When I got to the house what I found was the majority of drywall hadn't been sanded, there were cracks in the wall and dust throughout the entire house also didn't put drop cloths on carpet. Also the framing they did had to be redone since the exterior siding wouldn't line up. I had to hire someone else to fix their mess which was $775 plus a cleaning service for $150.00. I have pictures that I took for proofDesired Settlement: After talking to [redacted] he said he hadn't made any money on this job so couldn't afford to make the necessary repairs, he did however after arguing sent the one guy on Friday (12/13) to work which he was here 2 hours then left saying he'd be back in a bit but never returned. From then on when I would call no answer which I left a vm but he never returned the call. What I would like is the money I spent making the necessary repairs and for the cleaning service which is $925.00
