AAA Oasis Moving & Storage Reviews (%countItem)

Brokered by Budget Van Lines, Las Vegas,NV shipped by Oasis Moving,Dallas,TX On 2/28 and 3/6 I received on site estimates from full service(Allied)moving companies- prices were based on high minimums that my inventory didn't support. On 3/16/20 I agreed to broker my move due to stated NO minimum load, 2 pro movers, unload no earlier than 4/1 with Budget Van Lines. Load was scheduled for 3/28-3/31 and delivery 4/1+ 7 days.A major part of my inventory was sold approx 7 days before load-estimate changed to binding with 2000lbs @.46c= $1226. In 3 installments: reservation, pick up, delivery(cash only).3/28 Oasis dispatch calls requests pick up 3/29 there's only -1 man, states no inventory? so I complete my own(force him to sign when he's done loading), he completely unloads his previous load in my parking lot due to scheduled unload before me. Oasis Dispatcher states weight may be over and additional funds will be due in cash on delivery and if not delivered immediately it'll be weeks. I'm getting extremely stressed and plea for delivery on 3/31. 1 hr oasis dispatcher calls states weight is over by 1400 lbs so $700 additional cash due at delivery. Even with very heavy items sold, my on site estimates don't support their claim. I'm very stressed and worried now- just want my property. I know if I don't meet right away my items will be shuffled in a parking lot. In a rush(day early from promised 4/1 date) I finish packing ,load car, clean out apartment, and drive 700 miles, end up sleeping in car in a parking lot. He unloads 3/31 to storage facility- I had to rent(lease starts on 4/1). I put in a claim and was denied I am seeking your help! I have multiple supporting documents.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I feel they should stick to their binding estimate of $1223.00. +$195 brokerage fee.=$1418 -That is all I agreed too. I do NOT believe their weight claim and have supporting evidence. Due to the early unload I suffered significant physical and mental distress. I felt totally subjected by this company and lied to by Budget Van Lines Brokerage.

Dear Miss ***, We have received your complain and unfortunately upon review of all facts you did book with a Broker and we have no control of there fees. Also your estimate was based on certain items and you have added more and you had a choice not to add so the price can stay the same. Also, we spoke with you many times for your delivery early one day and you did leased a storage and we moved you in. Due to all these facts and crisis we have now we are willing to send you a 50 dollars to help you with your storage fees. A check will mailed to you for that amount.

Although I obviously did not receive promised services by broker. Mover overcharged unplanned additional fees of $700 AFTER they accepted brokered binding agreement AND had loaded my property. I had no additional inventory (possible 3bags of pillows). They did NOT provide inventory tally at load/unload. I created my own and have pics of all items. Driver was shuffling loads in truck to accommodate deliveries I didn't want my items subjected -especially with NO inventory so I had no choice but to accommodate their delivery date which was earlier than contracted FDD and caused monumental hardships on me.

Enclosed is customer booking with a broker. She paid them broker fees not us.

Oasis- You received $920 in credit card payments and $1167 in cash for a total to you of $2,087.00. The binding estimate was for $1226.00. My inventoried items did not go above the binding agreement- if you thought it did you should've denied it before loading it on your truck and driving away with it only to charge me n additional $700 after the fact. $2,087.00- $1226.00=$861.00 additional. I'm asking for a settlement of the additional $700 you overcharged me. This can be the current disputed credit card amounts of $460.00 & $278.00.

We are so glad we booked with Oasis, the movers were very fast paced and on top of it all. Very polite. No issues or damages. I actually just referred you guys to my sister who wants to book for next month! Thank you so much !

I wish I could give 0 stars. This company is a fraud. They are not licensed to currently operate. The movers stole one of our televisions and broke the leg off of one of our credenzas cracking the wood. It would be one thing to notify of us of the damage but instead they tried to glue the leg back on and taped it up with duck tape to try and hide the damage done. Cheap moving service but unfortunately you get what you pay for and it has not been worth the headache. They are not taking ownership for the stolen tv will only give us back $150 for the tv when it was worth over $400 . For the damage done to the credenza and several other pieces, they will only give us back $0.60 per pound. They say they carry insurance but they carry none. I will be following up with a lawyer and will be reporting this fraudulent company.

I had previously used Oasis Moving years ago and was pleased with their service. I used them again, and I was very dissatisfied.
I had a single-person household who moved into an apartment. Prior to the move, I sold over half of my furniture (kitchen table set, 2 dressers, couch, chair, to name a few). I moved within about a 30 minute drive. It took the movers 8 hours at a cost to me of almost $800. 3 pieces of furniture were damaged (chunks of trim chipped off, glass hardware broken and shattered, metal desk frame bent).
When I spoke to the owner and mentioned that both guys worked incredibly hard, but I felt this move was too big for them, the owner stated he took that as an insult, told me he would have to do an investigation then return my call by 2 the same day. I did not hear from him so I called again around 2 the following day. He said he had completed his investigation and that I owed them $175 more because of the upright piano I had. I told him I was not given a checklist of big items that needed to be moved or even a verbal list of big items, and he said I should have known that. He said he would not be paying me anything for the damaged furniture.
I have a problem with the following:
-they did not inquire about the pieces that needed to be moved which led me to believe the movers were large and strong able-bodied men that could move anything
-when I walked the movers through the house upon their arrival, they saw the piano and said nothing such as needing more money or extra help
-3 pieces of furniture were damaged and the owner refuses to reimburse me for any of it.
-the owners attitude throughout both conversations was aloof and I should have known, based on the first conversation, that he would be doing nothing to rectify the situation.
It's highly disappointing someone like this is in business.

On Friday, 12/14/2018,on the day of the move, the movers showed up at ***'s at 9:45AM & began to load everything into the box truck. However, even with everything boxed up & broken down, it still took the movers over 2 hours to get the personal belongings into the truck & that was even with *** having to start bringing his belongings to truck so that they could load the truck.
When the movers got to Nate's apartment, there was a miscommunication & the movers for about 5-10 minutes waited around & then started to unload all of ***'s belongings to the front of Nates apartment door. In which, with the language barrier, had to advise them that this was incorrect & we needed to move Nates belongings into the truck as well? Due to the miscommunication, the movers now had to take an additional 30 minutes in the beginning to rearrange ***'s belongings in the truck to make room for Nates stuff. Through this processes, Nate & *** started to help with time due to being charged by the hour, had to move majority of Nates stuff down to the front. Due to the rain, it was muddy outside & the movers were stepping in the grass & mud, for unknown reasons- there was an easily accessible sidewalk & due to this, Nates stair carpet is muddy & ruined. The movers were also leaving Nates TV (55inch & 43inch) outside & letting them get rained on. It took over 2 ' hours to move Nates single bedroom apartment which is not reasonable.
The house that was being moved into was 4-6 minutes away (1.7 miles) from where Nate lives. It took the movers over 25 minutes to get to the unloading location. When the unloading process started, it took about another 2 hours.
We reported this on 12/18/2018 & we did not hear anything back until we followed up another two times. We finally heard back from Tally on 12/20/2018 advising that a repair man would be sent out. Never happened. We followed back up AT LEAST 10 times & didn't get ahold of Tally until a MONTH later. In which he hung up on us & told us its our obligation for no damage.
Product_Or_Service: Kenmore XXXXX X.5cu.ft. Front-Load Washer

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) We feel that we should receive the following: Fixed washer (been broke for over a month) Fixed dressers My deposit back that I lost due to my carpets were ruined due to mud that the movers caused Full refund of move Reasons: Tally stated that carpets were not covered as its our obligation to protect the carpets & due to it not being in their "contract,as if its not, its not covered". There is no contract. Movers were slow & disinterested & milked the clock. Been over 1 month and no repairs.

AAA Oasis Moving & Storage Response • Jan 23, 2019

We have got in touch with Mr. and waiting on him to give us a convenient time to send the repair man.

So after reading my review the "manager" called me to ask me if I want to move tomorrow. After I told him I have nowhere to lay my head, his response is " I read your review and I don't care"!
They are complete *** and have zero professionalism. PLEASE HIRE A REPUTABLE COMPANY!
THEY ARE A JOKE.

AAA Oasis Moving & Storage Response • Aug 10, 2018

We reserve the rights due to weather issues and we feel it is unsafe for our crew and ask customer to move next day. It is on our proposal contract.

Moving Company refusing to provide copy of freight weigh slips and claiming fraudulent weight. Company withholding property until more money paid.
Aug 2017: Budget Van Lines brokers moving company to move items from Nebraska to Louisiana & estimate weight at 3,400lbs.
Oct 2, '17 Oasis Moving arrives: gives me CAT empty truck weight ticket and mover estimates our property weight at 5,000lbs. Driver says he will weigh truck right after they leave. Budget assures me movers will be in LA by Oct 6. We drive to LA, arriving on Oct 5 and Oasis owner, Tally tells me he doesn't care what Budget said, he has until Oct 11 to deliver and will not deliver earlier. I call driver and ask for weight ticket-he tells me he turned it into the office and that he is currently in Tenn. Tally also says weight ticket is in office. Two days later (10-9-17), Tally texts pic of weight ticket, showing 5400lbs, but only partial pic of ticket. We finally get more of a pic from him showing the weight was taken on that very day-10-9. Finally, on Oct 11, movers arrive after 8pm and give our friends weight ticket showing 5,000lbs full weight, however, they did not send text pic of empty CAT weight afterward. I drove to Dallas to get the customer copies of all CAT tickets and was told that Tally just stepped out...over the phone, Tally said that they never keep weight tickets in the office...that the drivers have them. We believe Tally has committed fraud by sending us a 5400 lb weigh ticket and then his drivers showing a 5000.b weigh ticket, however, we still are skeptical that our property weighed more than 4000lbs. Also, there were damaged items delivered and when I asked the person in the Oasis office for a claim form, she said she could not give me one. In summary, we believe Oasis Moving has committed fraud with the weight tickets, that they have still not provided us with weigh tickets. We believe there was a full truck weigh ticket in Neb. that has been withheld. We believe Oasis extorted us for an additional $600+ by refusing to deliver until we paid.

Desired Outcome

Since we have received so many different excuses and stories from the owner, we do not believe we can get an honest response from him. I would first like assistance on who I can report this fraud to for further investigation into these CAT weigh station records and what agency can investigate this company

AAA Oasis Moving & Storage Response

Spoke with *** and reordered original weight tickets from the weight stations also, agreed to reimburse her for 400 pounds which is equal to 196 dollars the difference in weight after we did the reweigh. There was no fraud tickets weight and re weight again accordingly. Customer agreed no fraud and accepted difference and still copy of weight ticket will be sent.
Respectfully,
Tally

Company was contracted to deliver goods on 26th June did not delivery until 27th June and overcharged.
Oasis Movers was hired to deliver our belonging out of a 10 by 30 storage unit located in Flower Mound for Monday, June 26th 2017. I was told it was a one time fuel fee of $25.00 and $89.00 an hour for two movers and a truck. The movers were suppose to call 30 min prior and then we were suppose to meet them at the unit. We were scheduled for between 12 and 2 pm. At 1:30 pm on the 26th I received at call from Oasis, stating the move before ours was running longer then expected and the BIG truck needed for our belonging was being used. I was told I would be contacted as soon as they were finishing up. My husband called around 3 to find out the status, no one answered. I called around 4 and was told they had just started unloading at the location and it was going to be awhile. I was asked if I wanted to change my time to 8 am the next day. I said I prefered not to because we had just closed on our house and had no furniture and had already given up our hotel. We needed our belonging so we could sleep at our house. The response was " oh ok I will have the drivers contact you as soon as they are done. Around 6 pm we still had not heard back so I decided to just change the delivery date to the 27th at 8am. I called at 6 pm to tell them it was getting too late and tomorrow would have to do. I left 2 messages since no one answered. I proceeded to call three more times to get a confirmation on rather we would be meeting our driver at 8 am. No one ever answered or called back. There website says available 24 hours. My family went to walmart at 8pm to buy sheets and air mattresses so we had a place to sleep. On the morning of the 27th I called Oasis at 715 and no one answered. At 7:45 a gentleman called me back back. I explained the situation. He assured me he would have movers and truck between 9 am and 10. At 10 am we still had not received a call to meet them at the storage unit. We called at 10 am and no one answered. Finally someone answered at 10:13. I was able to speak to Leslie, who was the one I booked the move with. She apologized and said she would fix it right away. She said a moving truck is headed to the unit and should be there in 30 min. My husband left and went to the storage unit. He arrived at 10:30. No one was there. Finally at 11:15 I received a call from one of the movers saying they would be there in 30 to 40 min. They arrived at the storage unit at 1 pm. They arrived in a small size uhaul truck not a big truck that we were promised and the reason why they could not move us on the previous day. It was going to take two trips to load and unload our storage unit. The first load was loaded and unloaded by 5:45. The two movers said they were going on a dinner break and they would arrive at the storage unit in one hour. I left my house to meet them. I received a phone call from one of the movers asking me where I was. It was 6:53. I told them I was right down the road 5 min away. They said they had been waiting on me for 10 or 15 min. When I arrived at the storage unit I was lectured on being late and told that they are use to clients being on time and that they did not want to be here longer then they had to. I apologized. They finished loading the rest of the stuff and arrived at the house around 8pm. We told them so they did not have to stay longer to just unload the boxes in the garage and put the furniture in the house. THey finished around ten after my husband assisted in helping them unload the truck. When presented with the bill we were charged for their dinner break and two fuel charges. We spoke with their boss on the phone and he was not sympathetic. He said he could take $100 off the bill, but we were already overchared $114. We refused and said we would like to speak with the owner. We were hung up on before the number was provided. Before the mover left our house he asked us for cash in the form of the fuel fee. We had already paid the bill with a CC. They also broke my hope chest, no apolgies.

Desired Outcome

We would appreciate an apology, money to compensate my 25 year old lane hope chest for repairs, and given back the over charge of an extra fuel fee and paying for their dinner break. We also had to spend money on sheets and air mattresses because of their failure to show up on the day they promised.

AAA Oasis Moving & Storage Response
