They inspected my home in 2015, since then we have found issuesWithin a month of moving in we had an exterminator come to the houseHe said we had signs of termites in the entry hallI contacted Eastern and they apologized said they didn't know how they missed it and gave us a free termite treatmentNext came the base board hot water burnerI had a service company come to service before the winter and was told we were missing the door in front of the burnersThis protects the flame from shooting outSo I purchased the new doorNext came the leak in the roofwhich was recently I had a roofer come to check out the sourceHe said I was missing the flange that goes around the chimneyThat was the cause of the leak and that the roof was at the end of it's life spanI contact Eastern and was told they can't be an expert in everythingBut how do you miss signs of termite in the front hall, missing door on the front of the burner and missing flange around the chimney (which if in place can be seen from the ground)Big mistake hiring them!
We used Eastern for our home inspection several years agoThey missed so much structural damage, water issues, and basic inspection items we had to proceed with legal mattersThree years later we were able to get SOME money back to make the repairs to our homeDO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Contractor hired to replace wood damaged wall area, tar paper and weather seal and replace under course and spray for the powder post beetles that did the damageThe contractor never sprayed for powder post beetles which caused the damage to the the wall we were replacing the wood in before putting tar paper and wood over the beetle damaged areaWork had to be undone to get under to spary for wood daming insects that caused the damageContractor trimmed out the door in a completely unsatisfactory mannerHe never put the door back onHe never put the light back onHe put this unnecessary piece of wood with approx nails, screws and blue bolts into the side of the cementIt looks horrible and it is crookedHe chopped away some concrete and patched it unnecessarily and it looks horribleThe contractor and I verbally changed the contract when we found that half the square footage of the wall was only in need of repairHis initial inspection was wrongInstead it they were to no
I had hired Eastern home inspections to do the home inspection before buying the houseDuring the inspection, the inspector forgot to check the sink and garbage disposalThe sink was leaking and garbage disposal was rusted and it was leaking tooI realized this after the closing and I had to spend $500+ to get it fixedI had requested Easter to pay for it or refund the charges because it was a mistake from their side however they came up with multiple argumentsFirst, they told me it was working and we checked everything, later they told me the unit might be occupied and there might be stuff that they could not reach thereI gave a response to all their queries/arguments however they did not agree to itI hope Revdex.com can help me on this
