AAA Oregon Insurance Company Reviews (%countItem)

I am complaining that Sarah B did not offer me/nor mention at anytime, travel insurance that can be cancelled for any reason. I filed a claim for a cruise and it was denied because they did not deem the coronavirus and the US State Department level 4 warning of DO NOT Travel to China a reason to cancel my cruise. YOU OWE ME $3,000 because the travel agent was negligent in her duties.

AAA Oregon Insurance Company Response • Mar 12, 2020

We requested the member to resubmit the claim and the matter has been resolved.

This begins with horrible customer service, billing issues, false information, being lied too, broken promises (I have phone records so they can pull all the calls, I have dates and times, and emails.
This began when I broke down outside of Portland, Oregon. I was told and promised a rental car, a hotel, and not too worry. I called off?on through the night. They did't do anything the customer rep said. After I broke down, the tow truck drove me to the airport, with my car and everything promised went wrong. I ended up getting a hotel at around 3 or 4am in the morning. Promised when I called back in the morning, someone would be able to help and fix all that went wrong. That also didn't work out. They could do nothing to help me being stranded in Portland at all, I had to pay first, then they would cover me up to $1500 well, I had a 3 year old child at the time, and this was hell and back. My biggest issues were, stop giving me wrong info. and, why pay for trip interruption when it wont help ? I then filed my paper work, I have a email from the guy who helped me, I got very ill, almost died, then after the fact completely forgot about this claim. I recalled it, made contact to the email to that person, couldn't reach him at all, sent a few emails out, I spoke with a few reps and they were to contact me, I wanted to see if the check was cashed or what happened to my claim. No one has reached out to me since. I then have a break down, in my car and call triple AAA, whom I have always bragged about how they were the most excellent to have. being single, I joked that they were my husband, because I thought they really cared. So I call spoke with Ellen, in the Portland office. I am then told they don't want me as a customer. That they have good customers and apparently I m not because I used my calls. I had no idea it was used against you. I was promised help this one time, by end of call, she said opps sorry, I got email and cant help you after all. I will go to the media as well if legal.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I opened this response, I really wasn't sure which box to check? the business states they are trying to resolve this? I will double check my email, they have had my same email for over 15 years, I don't see one. but I will double check. I will check my phone history I haven't heard from triple AAA that I can see. I feel like I need to explain in much more detail, I was limited by wording, so I summed it up pretty quickly on my first report. I think I will send a email to the first person whom helped me and then If I need to forward more it will be ready. Again, I was unsure when I choose the button to reject or accept because when I clicked where it told me too, I didn't get any information like it stated, just that they are trying to resolve this. Shall I contact them as well? help them contact me ? that would be the only way they could resolve this. I will check back for more information.

I will briefly summarize, I again only have 30 minutes. I filed for a trip interruption, I have saved emails from the person whom helped me. I got very sick right after, deathly sick. I never received my reimbursement, I wanted to mention the hell I went through the night I filed it as well. Can provide dates for phone calls to be pulled to verify. So time went on, due to illness, I lost track, tired to reach out, got the run around. Then called to get help as I was stranded got treated horrible, after being a member for this long, was told they don't want clients who use the service, promised to help this one time, in same phone call changed there mind.....by rep getting a email from higher ups saying no go. I was kicked to the curb. I am a single grandmother of a 4 year old was a faithful member spoke highly of triple AAA until the lady in Portland told me they have many new good clients that I was a risk..... it was awful, I believe they dumped me too because they want to not pay on what was paid for for years. I had another trip interruption and a few years back, and just let it go... I depended on them because I don't have a husband, it was a joke they were my husband, I used to speak so highly of them. I was shocked to be treated so so poorly. can provide dates so you can pull the calls. it was Ellen, everybody knows her. Years ago she was so nice to me when I had to call. this time she treated me like I was junk, wasn't rude, but stated they had tons of new good clients don't want clients like me. Not in exact words, but pretty close and MEANT that 100%

Sincerely

We have made several attempts to reach *** to discuss the matter.

You guys have sent a handful of techs to our house to try to solve our car battery issue that we have had for months now. It is a new battery that you installed about six months ago and you keep finding another excuse to not take care of your longtime customer even with proof from 3rd party companies that the battery is no good. We have done everything that you have asked us to do, which included taking hours of my time to get proof that everything with the car is good, except for the battery. The final tech that came to our house told me that alternator is bad and suggested that I get a full scan of my car to verify what the problem is because he said it was not the battery. I already had three companies give me proof (for free) that nothing is wrong with the car and that the battery is bad. Since you guys did not believe these reports, I had a full scan/test done on my car which cost $279.26 (with a new battery installed) that proves that the car is fine and the battery is bad.
We have completed all of your suggestions and now it is time for you guys to stand behind your "values." How about being trustworthy and accountable?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I had to fight hard with written proof to get AAA to pay for what they caused. I have finally received the check for my expenses caused by their bad battery.

In December 2017 I called AAA to get a tow as I had a flat tire. I was on the side of the highway for 3 hours. They ask where I was, which was I-5 in northern Oregon. I did not know the exact place but later realized I could ask my phone and it told me where I was. I will take the blame of that and put in the letter I wrote to them that they should tell their staff to ask the person to ask their phone. They ask if I was in a safe place. I said I was on the side of the road but was safe. I am lucky that my car was still able to run as it was very cold. I called several times asking where is the tow truck? I was told that it was on its way, several times. After about 3 hours a tow truck came and told me that he was on his way to my car originally but was told by AAA that I was already being helped. He went on his way and on the way back he saw that I was still on the side of the road. He called AAA and told them I was still on the side of he road. They told him to help me. Thanks so much to the tow truck driver. I wrote them a detailed letter stating the times of each event while waiting. In about March 2017 I finally received a call from AAA asking about my letter. He said he would forward it to a supervisor. I never did hear back. So here it is a year later and they have still not ever answered me. All it would have taken is a call back to me showing some kind of sympathy and/or sending me a letter showing how sorry they were, maybe giving me a partial refund or something. I have shared this story with many people. I will be using *** roadside service from now on. I am just glad I was not an elderly person on the side of road.

AAA 0f Oregon has been corresponding with me regarding this...just fyi

I have had AAA for over 25 years now. They have always treated me with honesty and respect, I switched to AAA after they treated better than my insurance compant did after an accident in which the other driver was insured with AAA. I was so exasperated with my insurance compay that I made the switch and have never had a complaint or an inkling of dissatifation with them
