After we were advised of the re-leak at this property, [redacted] met with the new owner's father who had taken over the drainage issue for his daughter.? [redacted] and he both agreed that the re-occurring leak was due to a gutter near the problem area combined with a very bad grade by the chimney and side of the home where out original work area stopped.? I proposed to have the crew to return to the property and re-grade the chimney side of the home with compactable soil 5' out from the foundation wall this would be done at no additional cost.? As an option to esthetically finish the area we could install edging, poly and rock for a fee of $if the homeowner wanted.? Email copies and a drawing of the area are attached as documentation.? The complaint contains information regarding our offer to do more to remedy the situation,? HE KNEW I HAD OFFERED TO DO THE EXTRA GRADING WORK AT NO ADDITIONAL COST AS STATED IN THE EMAIL.? The work was done as specified in our agreement and when we offered to do additional grading at no cost the offer was declined.? We are a family owned company waterproofing basements for about years and care about the satisfaction of our customers.? Every effort was made to communicate with the previous and new homeowners to do what we can to keep the basement dry.? As stated in our terms and conditions we did come out and see what further we can do.? There was no misrepresentation of our company and I request this complaint be removed from the file because they chose to "proceed with the new company and it's solutions" and did not give us the opportunity to do the additional grading work.Following is the email sent to new homeowner September 1, 2016, copy attached.Hello ***,? I stopped by to look at the waterproofing.? I would suggest getting? the gutter extension on that front corner extended so water escapes a little farther out.? The areas where we worked are tight.? The water seems to be coming from the area by the chimney and front corner on that side.? ? We would be willing to remove and dispose of the rock, edging and poly on that sideRe-grade 5' out from the chimney to front corner with soil free of charge.? ? If you want we can install new poly, 30' of edging and ton? of 3/4" Trapp rock for a charge of $530.00.? Thank you, [redacted] ###-###-#### [redacted] met with the homeowner's father to go over the plan and we would wait to hear from them.? Following is email sent to the previous homeowner September 15, ? to support the fact we would come out to grade an area outside of the original work area at no additional cost, copy attached, cc: new homeowner.Hi ***,? I have attached the drawing we spoke of earlier.? The diagram shows what we? will do to re-grade 5' out in the area shown.? ?
