I purchased a AAA battery and since the purchase, I have had to call AAA services to replace it twice due
to DEFECTIVE batteries.
Each visit, even though it was AAA's fault for carrying a bad product, I was charged for the trip visit.
I learned that AAA purchased the defective batteries in Korea and due to issues of them being defective, they now have a new distributor for their batteries.

We are declining her request for refund because we replaced the battery on 01/05/2020.

Thank you.

Due to AAA's defective batteries, I had to call AAA 2 times thus, using 2 of my visits to attend to the defective battery - please credit the 2 calls back to

my Premier account.

Thank you

Purchased new car battery from AAA who installed it in November 2018. In March 2019, battery died. AAA came and jump started car (this does not show in their records.) Battery died and had to be jump started again 4/07. Bought a battery charger and charged up battery. Died again and had to be jump started again on 4/22, and 5/26. One technician said it read 0 volts across the terminals ("which is impossible" in his own words.) In the meantime had several conversations with their techs about this issue. Alternator was okay, their battery just did not appear to be able to take/hold a charge. It was suggested that I have a mechanic troubleshoot my car for a "parasitic draw" which had magically appeared, or that I take it into one of the AAA shops and have them charge the battery. Filed a complaint with AAA. Destiny addressed the complaint on 5/26/2019. I explained that the battery was obviously defective. She argued that as long as each time they came to jump start my car and the diagnostics said to "charge and recheck", that meant the battery was fine. She refused to honor the 3 year warranty and replace the battery. She said the only way they would consider it was if I paid an independent mechanic to prove the battery was faulty, and then they would replace with a prorated one. Apparently having to repeatedly jump start their battery that was less than 6 months old wasn't proof enough. She also reminded me that my membership with AAA only covered 4 jump starts and after that they would charge me to come jump start my car. Her idea of resolving the issue was to give me a $10 discount on my next year's membership

I took my 2005 Kia Sorento EX into the mentioned shop on (4) different occasions as the Air conditioner was blowing hot air. The first (2) times I was told the "leak" could not be found, dye was put into the system when it starts blowing hot air again bring it in and they will look for the dye to determine the leaking spot. On the 3RD trip I was told there were leaks found all of a sudden in the A/C line and schrader valves they did not locate these using dye, they had forgotten they did that . I did those repairs totaling $448.87. about (6)weeks later it began to blow hot air again and I took it back. I was then told it needed an additional repair consisting of "replace a/c compressor, replace drier/condenser unit, replace expansion valve and refill with freon all totaling $1,000 I was offered a discount totaling $231.00 not including my 10% AAA discount and to refill the refridgerant goes without saying. please understand that during these (4) visits I also paid for and A/C service totaling $76.02 it does not cost $89.95 as the shop would like you to believe. I was never charged that amount for a recharge of my a/c system. I do not understand how the leaks went from "so small" they can not be detected , too you need to replace this for $448.87 and now ALL of this totaling $1,000 which is comprised of replacing the ENTIRE A/C system on the car? Then they tried to BLAME the car because it has some miles on it.. It was not fixed right the first time, they could not find the leaks so there answer was just replace it all. At the very least I want it fixed right and free of charge or I want all my money back totaling $524.89 as my son still has a car with non functioning air conditioning.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
business negotiated too the amount I requested and I verified my address by email addressed to *** at that location.

Vehicle was presented at 11AM Thursday, March 8, 2018 for oil change. Vehicle returned to customer at 4PM. The 36 point inspection was not completed, only the oil change. When the business was called on Friday to see if the 36 point inspection would subsequently be provided (at no charge), the call was never returned. There is an expectation that a business advertising auto repair (including oil change), that the service will be provided in a timely manner. A business with the AAA logo has a higher expectation.

Initial Business Response /(1000, 7, 2018/04/03) */
There was no previous message from her or anyone in response to this complaint. We called her. We spoke to her in regard to her complaint.
We apologized that she was not given a copy of her vehicle inspection. We scanned and sent the inspection to her, via e-mail. There is no monetary issue since she was not charged for the oil change service. She was in such a hurry and was complaining about how long it was taking. We "good-willed" the charge for the service and in our haste to help her be on her way, we forgot to attach her copy of the inspection to her invoice.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /(3000, 9, 2018/04/10) */
AAA did respond with a phone call. The issue was not resolved to my satisfaction. No offer to reimburse for system check, which was not done at the time of the oil change and the ONLY request in the original complaint. Certainly no explanation for the 5 hour wait.

Final Business Response /(4000, 11, 2018/04/19) */
I apologize for ***'s wait. However, there is no reimbursement due to her since she was not charged for any of the services. The oil, filter were changed and the inspection was done.
She has a copy of the inspection via e-mail.
We don't feel that we owe her anything further accept the apology that we gave her at the counter when she was here, and the apology I gave her on the phone. I have apologized in this response as well. The whole reason that we no charged her entire invoice/visit was due to her complaint about time.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Final Consumer Response /(4200, 13, 2018/04/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Suggestion: CORRECTLY identify the car for the mechanic and include the color of the vehicle.
Do NOT indicate that failure to provide the inspection was due to the customer's complaints and impatience.....5 HOURS, actually!
The inspection provided via email was vague and did not include: tires and exhaust flex pipe.
AAA Tucson Auto Repair offered no resolution for the proper inspection.

I was a member of AAA Towing & Roadside Assistance for one year ending October 31. 2017 I did not want to renew the membership, but Chase Bank accepted a bill from AAA and paid it with my credit card for another year without my authorization. Later AAA sent me a refund, and then stopped payment on their check after I had cashed the check. Chase Bank then took the $57.00 membership fee from my debit card account. I have been trying to get the $57.00 bank from Chase Bank and AAA since that time. Recently I have called AAA four times and get different excuses each time. On December 28, 2017 they said the check was mailed the previous day. Another excuse and no refund! My membership number with AAA for the 2016-17 year was XXX XXX XXXXXXXXX X and their telephone number is XXXX-XXX-XXXX. Please help get my money back and thank you for your service.

Final Consumer Response /(2000, 6, 2018/01/18) */
Since filing the Revdex.com complaint, case #XXXXXXXX, I received another AAA membership card No. XXX XXX XXXXXXXXXX from a California regional office with a telephone number of (XXX) XXX-XXXX. I called them on X-X-XXXX and requested the card be cancelled and the $57.00 fee be refunded. After consulting her supervisor, the representative said that I would receive a refund within 7 to 10 days. I received the refund check on X-XX-XXXX and cashed it immediately.
I hope that the AAA senior management reviews the unethical business practice conducted by their regional office with a telephone number of X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. I have kept a log of all the telephone calls made to this office with their replies.
As you can see, this complaint is more about a business practice than money.
Thank you Revdex.com for your service to the community.

No reimbursement from 7-13-17 request
Requested reimbursement for towing service on 7-13-17. Site says it takes 30 days. Have emailed, meiled, faxed, and phoned multiple times. Still have received no reimbursement or even a solid date when I can expect it. Info requests have gone unanswered.
