Snow removal service that charges $1,200 for first 2 hrs suppose to continue the job and charge $250 for any additional hr. come for 2 Hr than leaveBe aware of this business. It is a fraud. I called them to do roof snow removal for 2 houses. As the snow in Boston start accumulating it became dangerous on the roof and I start to have leaks in the houses.It is $1,200 for first 2 hrs 2 people! than $250 every additional hr. The owner [redacted] confirmed that they will come in the next morning and do both houses one after the other and the $1,200 will be charged once. The next day they did not show up. Called got busy signal. Emails were not answered. Finally I got through and they promise to come next day. Well, they did and left after 2 hrs charged my credit card for $1,200 and rest assure did not answer phone calls or emails. In the mean time my family was in great jeopardy as the roof (very low pitch) started accumulating snow and continue dripping. Finally after 2 days I got through. They claim "the woman in the house" told them to leave. Guess what, they told the "woman" that the order is for 2 hrs only which was straight out lie as I told them to do both houses ASAP. I was not home so the "woman" said I don't know what was agreed with you. And they left never bothered to do the 2nd house as agreed in writing in the email. So they promise to come next morning. Of course never showed up. Called them again and again promise to come in the afternoon which did not come again. Than I sent them email: I got it! you only come for 2 hrs to collect the $1,200 and move to the next victim. Once I sent the email they immediately email me back we are coming the next morning. They did come the next morning but told my wife they only got order for 2 hrs!!!!My wife by that time (AFTER 4 DAYS!!!) found a legit business that already came and start working. It took them 8 hrs 3 people to clear the roof.I called them and told them I will refuse the charges. They start screaming at me [redacted] the owner and [redacted] (Not sure about the woman name) that they will go after me come to my house and start threatening me. I hang up the phone and called the local police to alert them in case these guys will come to my home.A nightmare is good story compare to this.Desired SettlementI am willing to pay $250/ hr so refund me $700 ($1,200-$500) as you came for 2 hrs only and left me and my family in great dangerBusiness Response It was very clear that our policy regarding charges for snow/ice dam removal was the following: For the first 2 hours of service for a crew of two men, the charge is $1200 which is our minimum charge. Thereafter, the charge is $250 per hour. This was addressed and accepted by the customer before we even came out to the properties. The customer provided his credit card information and we told him the amount would not be charged until the work was completed. We went to the first house to clear off the snow/ice from the roof. After the first two hours of service, the home owner spoke to my crew member and told him to stop after the two hours complaining about the amount of work that was completed within the two hour time frame. So they left. Then Mr. [redacted] called and said he wanted us to get his other house done and to take as much time as was needed to get the work done. We went to the other house. The guys were invited into the house by a woman who gave them a drink and asked them several questions. At that time she answered her phone and was speaking with her husband which earlier he mentioned that she (being a lady that was supposedly the tenant had no authority to send us away - very shady). While they were conversing on the phone, the lady asked the crew if they could wait outside and she would speak with them in 5 minutes. The crew mentioned that they felt something really unethical was going on and it felt weird. Within two minutes, the woman came out of the house and said we weren't authorized to be there past the two hours and told them to leave. Mr. [redacted] was nothing but rude and mean to us. He didn't want to hear any explanation at all. Why would be want to only work on a house for two hours if we were authorized to get the whole house done? This is silly and it makes no sense. And as for us threatening him, that is just ludicrous. We have been in business a long time and would not do this. We have never threatened anyone and wouldn't do that. If anything, he was the one threatening us. He was saying we were scamming him and he was going to report us. I think what happened here is that Mr. Schneur wasn't happy with the charges. He simply did not want to pay the fee once he saw how long the jobs were going to take due to the record amounts of snow and ice we received this year and what was on his houses. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Sorry to see their respond but it reaffirm that they continue to lie.Nobody told them to leave and nobody told them to stop after the two hours and nobody was complaining about the amount of work Further more I have a confirmation from the owner [redacted] that he will continue with the 2nd house which clearly did not happen. Further more I have all the emails and the phone records continue to try to get them to finish the job. Remember while this going on both houses have major leaks which was communicated to [redacted] in writing. day after day I call and email and they promise to come. In the mean time my wife tried to get a different vendor which she did after 4 days. Also In the mean time the damages to both house continue to grow.Regarding the interaction, as I mentioned before I filed a claim with the Lexington police regarding the couple [redacted] and other women on the phone, threatening me to come to my house to collect money and to put a lien on the house.New data:I now have the assessments to the damages for both houses leaks which is thousand of dollars In Yelp there is a link to other home owners that these people did the trick on him. Final Business Response Wow. Mr. [redacted] sure had to search for bad reviews as we rarely have any. As far as us being any type of bad company, please look at other reputable sites where we have 33 independent reviews from Yellowpages.com along with 107 reviews on HomeAdvisor.com. We have never threatened anyone, ever. We do not do business this way. Mr. [redacted] must have a vendetta against us. The crew that went to his home has been with our company for many years. They wouldn't have stopped working had they not been told to do so. The only thing we can think of as to why he was upset is because due to the extenuating circumstances of the amount of snow and ice everyone had, maybe he felt like this job should not have taken so long for the small amount of work that was done for the time he was billed. We apologize for even being involved in a mess such as this. It is not our way of conducting business.

Paid $4320 for LeaFree Maintenance Free Gutters. AAA Window and Gutter has ignored my request to come and clean gutters.Hired [redacted] (owner) of AAA Window & Gutter a(LeaFree dealer)in Oct2013. Paid $4320.00 to install the Maintenance Free LeaFree gutter system on my home.I paid such a large amt of money because gutters are guaranteed maintenance free for life. Mr. [redacted] assured me he would provide life-time care of all repairs and cleaning/power washing after they were installed. And if he retired/could not provide cleaning, then parent co (GP Industries, Nebraska)would honor repairs/cleaning.The following is a list of just the phone call/appointment log I started keeping as he has not honored the maintenance-free part of the contract since receiving my money a year ago:1.Apr2014-started sending emails to Mr.[redacted]2.Sept4,XXXX-Xpm appt at home, called Mr.[redacted] as he hadn't shown up, showed up at 2pm. We walked around the house and discussed:*the repairs in the back of the house where the gutter top has torn off and the gutter is bent (gutters are covered in contract, may need to pay for wood underneath if its come away from house)*the leak over the in-law apt door where the gutters connect (splash guard to be added)*all gutters need to be cleaned (included in contract) showed him worst areas where plugged gutters have eroded gardens and rainwater has been directed into windows.*scheduled work for a week out3.Sept12,2014-no show all day.Waited for call from Mr.[redacted] as to why no workers showed up and no response.4.Sept19,2014-called Mr.[redacted] to ask why another week has passed.Put me on hold for 3 min, then back on line to tell me he 'forgot'.Rescheduled for another week out.5.Sept26,2014-no show at agreed upon time of 8:30am. Called Mr.[redacted] at 9 and he said 'jason' was backed up on another job and would be by around noon. Called Mr. [redacted] again at 1pm, and line was disconnected. Redialed and got his machine. Left message.6.Sept29,2014-filled out and submitted 'contact us' link at LeaFree parent company http://www.leafree.com (GP Industries out of Omaha, NE)7.Sept30,2014-sent email to Mr. [redacted] saying that I would send letter to parent company and to Revdex.com if work isn't taken care of by Oct3 8.Oct3,2014-Mr. [redacted] showed up and did the absolute minimum of tacking the damaged tops onto the gutters in the back of the house. Left clumps of debris on the ground, the bilco door, concrete, hose. Still no cleaning of gutters or addition of splash guard to gutter over in-law apt door. 9.Oct6,2014-sent registered letter to GP Industries,XXXXX Park Road, Elkhorn, NE XXXXX. Rec'd 0ct9. No response yet.I also have photos of the clogged gutters and how they overflow anytime it rains, and many emails to/from Mr.[redacted] since Oct2013.Desired SettlementFull refund of $4320. I don't want to have to struggle to get him to honor the maintenance-free contract every year. A full refund will give me money back to pay someone else to clean them every yearBusiness Response First of all, I never performed any work on the property. I came out and addressed the issues she was having with her. I told her we would address the issues she was having with the back gutters. That was complete to our company's warranty standards. As far as the front of the house goes, I mentioned to the customer that she has a tree that is leaning on the gutter and on the roof and needs to be cut back so that we can have access to that area to get the job done to both of our satisfactions. She has not done this. Therefore, I believe this is the reason why the water keeps running over in this area. You can't have debris hanging on your roof and your gutters and expect the gutters to work correctly. As our Customer Warranty that she has states, "The leading edge of the covers must be kept clear of debris for them to work properly. If there is any debris on or near the edge, it is possible that the water may not make it into the channel and run over the covers. Dirt, dust and pollen will build up over time on the nose of the gutter protection. This is normal." We will come back and make adjustments to the inside corner of the in-law apartment. This is contingent upon her tree being trimmed back so we can get access to this area. As far as the outside cleaning of the gutters, we don't do this. It is not listed in our warranty. We have an additional charge for power washing which is required to clean the outside of the gutters. If the inside of her gutters were blocked and needed to be cleaned in order for the gutters to drain properly, this will be done at no charge as this IS stated in the warranty.As far as the rest of her gutters go, if she has any concerns we will come out and address them immediately as our warranty states. A full refund is out of the question. As for our warranty that your gutters are clogged, we will address the issue. Also, I never mentioned that I'd refund her money in full if she had an issue with the gutters.

I am trying to make a complaint against AAA Window and Gutter (the below company). They charged my credit card [redacted] to remove ice from my roof in mid [redacted] 2015. The did not remove any of the ice, only some snow. Subsequently the ice dams built up and water damaged three bedrooms in my house. My insurance company called a mitigation company to remove the ice (they were able to remove it all), but it was too late. The damage was done. I e-mailed AAA to come back and finish the job, I e-mailed them to reduce the price, I e-mailed them for a refund they have ignored all of my e-mails and phone calls.Desired SettlementI would like a full refund.Business Response We came to Ms. [redacted]'s house and provided the service that she requested. We feel the problem here is that the customer thought that more ice removal should have been done. What we did was suitable to eliminate the ice dam problem and we charged her according to what we quoted her over the phone for the work that we did. This service is a very open-ended service where it's not something that we could look at and figure out how long it's going to take based upon how every roof/ice dam situation is different. If anything, we would like to stay all day at the job and charge even more money, however in all fairness to the homeowner, we do what we feel as the professional what needs to be done to alleviate the ice dam issue in a minimum amount of time. We are willing to offer Ms. [redacted] a free gutter cleaning (a [redacted] value), even though we did nothing wrong other than not spending more time at her house and charging her more. We value our customers and want to make this right with her but we don't feel we did anything malicious. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)AAA did not eliminate the ice dam situation. We had one leak in the kitchen when I called them to remove the ice dams. They came and removed some snow, and created come troughs in the ice. It was clearly not enough to eliminate the ice dam situation as the damage to the bedrooms occurred days after they were at the house. I contacted them numerous times to ask them to come back to complete the job. They ignored my e-mails and their voice mail was always full. The only time they responded an e-mail was when I copied them on my e-mail to Revdex.com. My original conversations with AAA were that it was a minimum of [redacted] call out and they would charge me by the hour after that to finish the job.Final Business Response The work that we did was 100% satisfactory to our standards. In the days that followed, it snowed for several days after we completed our work. Having people call us back even 2 days after was not uncommon due to the large amount of snow storms we had over the course of several weeks. Again, we felt like the compensation we offered her (i.e. the gutter cleaning) was more than generous based upon the circumstances which were beyond our control.

Called for removal of an ice dam on my roof on Friday and was told they would come Saturday morning. When they did not arrive by noon on Saturday, I called and was told the work order said Saturday but was put on the crew board for Sunday. Was told they would arrive between 8 and 9 on Sunday. Called at 9:15 when nobody had arrived and was told I should have been told between 8 and 10. Called back at 10:30 and am going almost immediately to voice mail. If this is what one calls excellent service then I do not want to come across bad service. I will never call Fran [redacted] for any service again and unless you want to get bluffed into thinking they will be coming to serve you, I would do the same!

I gave a 50 % deposit ($2387) to have house gutters repaired. He never completed the work.An estimate was given by Mr [redacted] on 11/2/14 of $4774 to replace all house gutters, scheduled 12/6/14. I gave a 50 % deposit. Date was rescheduled for 12/10/14: he never showed. I called - then he told me installation was scheduled on 12/17/14 however he again did not show. His voice mail box is full.Desired SettlementI would like my deposit refunded.Business Response This job has been completed and the client is happy with our work. Best,[redacted]

This was a challenging experience for us. The owner, Fran, was excellent from a communications standpoint and seemed to care about our feelings. The quality of the work crew, however, was a disappointment to us. For example, there were cigarette butts scattered across the grounds. We could have handled things differently as customers, and we accept accountability for that. But we were left with a general disappointing feeling based on the work crew that was sent to our home to do the work by AAA Window & Gutter Company.
