I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am not after a refund. I couldn't even point out how dirty the trailer was or that it was missing a safety part because they locked up early and/or didn't want to take any effort. Been dealing with U-Haul for years; just want to point out to the company this was the worst experience I ever had with them. Fact I didn't get any kind of apology or contact speaks volumes for the business.

I had called the customer to let him know that his bill was due and got a voice mail on 1/12/I got a call back from the customer a couple minutes later asking why we were calling and I explained to him that his bill was days past due and on the 5th day he would get a late fee, that's
when the customer started yelling at me about how we didn't send him a bill and that he was going to contact the Revdex.com about itI explained to the customer per our company polices we don't send out a bill to every customer as it is an additional fee, and only sent upon requestHe asked how was he to know when his bill was due? That's when I told him, that it was In his contract that he signedThen he told me that he didn't have his contract with him how was he supposed to know when it was due and when it was due was not explained to himI told hjm again that all that information was in the contract that he had signedThis is when he got so irate that his wife took over the conversationI explain to her the same things and she was fine with everything and she asked if I could wave the late fee and she would get him to not contact the Revdex.com and I told her that we could do a onetime late fee waiveThen she told me that they could pay on 1/23/I said ok thank you and that was the end of the call. I also noticed in the customer's account that this was not the first month he made his payment since he initially moved inHe also got a phone call on December 9,where he was also late and the assistant manager explained the due date and billing to him at that time. To our knowledge the customers concerns have been addressed and they were satisfied, Our late fee schedule was reviewed with them again, per their lease agreement they have signed with us. We appreciate our customer's suggestion for e-statements however our management software does not allow us to mass emailWe do however offer a printed statement to be mailed days before the customers rent is due at an additional charge of $We also offer automatic credit card payments with signed authorization for our customer's convenience

Review: Absolute worst customer service I have had in years. I rented a trailer, the guy would not assist in hitching it, backing it or explaining any of the features. Could not tell me where I needed to return the trailer and had no interest in helping me. He swiped my credit card 6 times, so I am watching that like a hawk. I've had good experiences with U-Haul in my 20+ year experience doing Army moves, but this place was awful. I will tell everybody on [redacted] and the Colonial Heights and Prince George [redacted] I come in contact with to stay away from this place.Desired Settlement: Apology, refund and discipline the employee.

Review: This company has the most unbelievable billing system that I have ever seen. As a note I have had storage units for 10+ years with several companies, But never have I heard of a company that doesn't send a monthly billing statement or even an email. I was called today Jan.12th by the manager of this business to tell me I was 3 days late paying my bill. I told him I never received a statement or email and he said " We don't do that, it was in the contract". I told him that was never explained to me and asked if I could get a bill and he replied " No we don't do that". I asked if there would be a late fee and he said "YES". I told him if the fee wasn't waived I would report him to the B.B.B. he said with no fear "OK, but there's still a late fee". My wife convinced him to waive the late fee, but his careless approach in dealing with customer complaints is the reason I am reporting this manager.Desired Settlement: I would encourage the corporate office to take control of the billing and start at the very least sending an e-statement to there customers, though a paper bill would be nice.
