Aable Brothers Heating & Cooling

During the week of October 21-25, 2013, while I was out of town on business, an Aable Brothers employee came to our home to service our boiler, which was not working. He told my wife that our boiler was improperly installed, and could not be reliably repaired. He did not do anything but visually examine the boiler. He sold her a new boiler for $5500, including installation. I emailed her that none of the many previous servicers had said the boiler was improperly installed, and asked her to get a second opinion. My wife called another company, which said the boiler was not improperly installed. We canceled the new boiler order with Aable, which still charged us $227.56. The other company repaired the boiler for about $1000, including parts and service. There are two possible conclusions. Either the Aable servicer was being dishonest, in an effort to make a big sale during a cold snap. Or he was incompetent. Either way, I am extremely dissatisfied with Aable Brothers, and I want to warn others so that they can avoid a similar experience.

Aable Brothers installed new furnace in 2009 ... CO2 issue now reveals corrosion and other internal problems ... corrosion most likely occurring due to poor install, i.e. no fresh intake pipe installed ... reach out to Aable Brothers (same phone number from 2009) ... after hearing the issues I was told that the name and phone number was bought with NO obligation toward equipment/previous work ... one might ask, why buy the name if not willing to stand behind it ... my suggestion - stay away from Aable Brothers
