I purchased a pre-paid service contract via a reputable 3rd party firm that rates contractors, and Aadams has refused to schedule the service.I saw a "Big Deal" advertised for yard clean up that stated "Valid for natural area clearing, leaf and debris pick-up, seasonal shrub trimming, weeding and other yard clean-up and landscaping services." Beside the ad was a picture of a bag stuffed full of leaves, and a red rake leaning up against it. I called Aadams to see how far out they were booked, and I was told that they had a week lead time. Additionally, the ad stated "Buy "Valid for natural area clearing, leaf and debris pick-up, seasonal shrub trimming, weeding and other yard clean-up and landscaping services."now and get it schedule in 48 hours" in bold print. The timing was very important to me, as the city I live in vacuums the leaves from the curb twice a year, and the second pass was coming up on my street in three weeks. I purchased the deal and requested the service to begin within a week. I was called a few days later, and I was told that they would come out and provide an estimate in another week. While I told them that I did not need an estimate, I just needed some leaves removed, [redacted] insisted on coming to do an estimate with [redacted]. So we scheduled the estimate for the following week, and I arranged to be off work so I could be at home for this required meeting. So on the day they were to come and do the estimate, I got an email canceling, as [redacted] claimed they were behind schedule due to winter weather. She asked if I could be there the following week, and I could not, but I told her exactly where to look for the leaves I wanted removed. I again reiterated that I wished for the work to be done ASAP due to the looming deadline of the city leaf removal. [redacted] told me that was no problem, and that they would leave the estimate in my mailbox. Well, another week went past, and I did not hear back nor was an estimate left in my mailbox. I called again and was assured that they had visited the property, and that I would recieve an estimate the next morning. Three days later, I emailed again and asked again for the estimate, which they insisted must be provided before work could be done. This time [redacted] told me that the email address did not work, and her email was returned. What?!?! Really??? Finally, she sent an estimate that was essentially her saying that the 8 hours I purchased would be plenty to cover the leaf removal. I asked for a date that the work would be done, and I was told "in the next couple of weeks" and I reminded her that the city was due soon. Well, the city being the city, they were a week behind schedule. But no matter, the city came and left and no sign of Aadams. I sent a note to [redacted] telling her that the city had made it's second pass, and now I needed them to remove the leaves from the property when they came instead of placing them at the curb. At this point, [redacted] told me that their website clearly states they do not do leaf removal, and that they were only going to honor the contract because [redacted] is a nice guy, and he has other clients in my neighborhood. I took a screen shot that very same day of the advertisement that was still posted on the web that showed the rake, bag full of leaves, and the words "Valid for natural area clearing, leaf and debris pick-up, seasonal shrub trimming, weeding and other yard clean-up and landscaping services." Atthis point I was told that they did not receive money for this deal, and that I needed to either accept the fact that they would do the work when they got around to it, or ask for a refund from the 3rd party ratings agency they advertise through. Another month has passed since then, and I have still heard nothing about a scheduled date for the clean up. I cannot recommend this firm to anyone for any reason. They have repeatedly failed to meet their own deadlines, and I feel they have been patently dishonest is their dealings with me.Desired SettlementI wanted the work completed ASAP.
