AA&E Retreat - Crosby Center

I was very hopeful when my daughter entered Crosby Center after detox at Mesa Vista however there were red flags immediately as Larry B the intake staff has alias names and apparently was arrested in four other states. He was being investigated by Orange County as described in information accessible on the internet regarding football players he pursued to enter one of the touted programs Crosby Center offers for concussion brain injury. The information on Revdex.com seems out of date as it isn't any longer called AA&E. The contact name was no one I met or heard about when I was at the intake appointment with my daughter. When I first visited my daughter about a week later, the staff was highly unprofessional and practices were unsafe and questionable at best. My daughter had moved from one residence to another due to being placed at the first residence with a convicted predator awaiting sentencing who committed a child attempted abduction in March. She looked up the information on my phone as the residents were not allowed to have access to their phones due to confidentiality regarding the convicted individual awaiting sentencing. She was asked to leave the facility a day or two later and given various reasons. I was unable to speak to any staff until I requested this in person whereas previously I had open communication with them. Staff stated she tested positive although they were not able to provide test results. I would NEVER recommend this facility. I attempted to get licensing information when she was admitted but staff was not able to provide this and after multiple governmental inquiries I was unable to be provided with any licensing information. They talk a great game but after attempting several detoxes, I now see this industry is often unregulated and takes advantage of desperate individuals. Be careful and cautious when considering drug rehab treatment facilities. Even Health Net is being investigated due to fraud regarding treatment facilities and individuals who were involved in an insurance scam. All of this sounds incredulous however it is so unfortunately what is happening at this time when there are heroin addicts overdosing everyday due to the pharmaceutical proponents of opiates and the situation across the country is of epidemic proportion.
