Aamco Transmission-Covington

Review: Aside from the fact that the staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional, their service is terrible. My car was brought in because it was going into limp mode (which can be caused by a wide variety of things) my car was still in running condition when it got to their facility. I was told it would take an additional week ( after already being at their shop for a week already) JUST TO GET A DIAGNOSIS AND ESTIMATE!! I was then informed I needed a new starter for them to diagnose any further. I inquired as to why a starter was needed as my car was running when brought there and has never had that issue before. I reluctantly agreed to change the starter to keep the process moving. The very next day I was informed that after they replaced the starter and diagnosed it no problem was found. Very strange. I picked up my vehicle and went about my way. 2 1/2 days later (Monday) my car failed again going into limp mode. Then 4 days later (Friday) my car wouldn't start. I checked all possible problems myself, I have done most of my car repairs on my previous vehicles myself and am very educated. It is without a doubt my starter. THATS RIGHT. The part that was broken when it entered their shop but mysteriously needed to be replaced. Also the only part they did anything to. I called to let them know and they said I would need to pay a tow truck and all expenses to have the repair made and IF they found it to be the starter they would reimburse me. Seeing as how the whole problem with the starter seemed very sketchy to begin with I am not trusting enough in them to be honest and fix the issue or to give me money back. Probably just blame it on something else entirely and try to squeeze me for more money as that has been their game so far. All this transpired after the mechanic asked me "do you want me to make a problem for you" when I inquired about nothing being fixed in regards to limp mode. Despite being incredibly rude and unprofessional, that comment doesn't put you at ease especially when the car breaks again.Desired Settlement: I would like them to reimburse me for the cost of the service that was dissatisfactory and perhaps even for the inconvenience and time wasted by them. I would also like this review to be public so that they can face what they have done and not be able to do it to someone else
