To Whom it May Concern:
The customer had AAMCO Transmissions of [redacted] tow the vehicle from another repair shop for clutch repair. Upon inspection, we found that the vehicle had a damaged right front axle and the wrong transfer case...

was installed by some other shop for the 4-wheel drive. The customer stated that he had just purchased the vehicle. We performed the necessary repairs authorized by Mr. [redacted] with his date of birth and did not charge the customer for the tow service, which was agreed upon before the vehicle was towed. We also replaced the damaged axle which was included in the agreed upon price. Ms. Odonnell came in with Mr. [redacted] and paid for the repairs and signed the credit card slip.

After picking the vehicle up, the air conditioner compressor failed, which was unrelated to our repairs. As a goodwill gesture, we repaired the air conditioner and charged the customer for parts only and waived the labor charge. We also informed him that the car had other problems, including scan codes for the fuel pump. The customer declined any further repairs and stated that they would be getting rid of the vehicle.
In the meantime, Ms. [redacted] stopped payment on the original repair. We responded to the credit card company and were awarded the payment for services rendered. Mr. [redacted] brought the vehicle on August 21st and we checked over the work we performed and verified that there was no transmission problem. We did repair the vehicle with a used throttle body and repaired a few vacuum lines. We had Mr. [redacted] test drive the vehicle prior to having him sign the repair order to make sure that the vehicle was in working order. Attached is the most recent repair which shows that Mr. [redacted] acknowledges that the car is working properly.
We consider this matter resolved. Please close this complaint out in your system.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Customer came in on several occasions regarding leak. The leak was found and it was not related to the original service; however, the issue was repaired at no additional cost to the customer.

they do fix the original leak.... but in the proses the mechanic broke a sensor.. thats why he said was not related.
then he try to charge $300 extras in order to repair the sensor.
is not aseptable the sensor cost $45 and he offer a deal to fix it
for $300 is not making a sense to me
he try to robed me like too many others.
and I know this because I ask 3 mechanics before to go to aamco.

There was a pressure switch leak which was identified to the customer, and the customer declined the repair. The allegation that the technician caused the leak is unfounded and unfair. The pricing offered for the repair is commensurate with other nationwide auto repair facilities. As a leader in the auto repair industry, our repairs use only the highest quality parts, and are done by highly trained technicians. These repairs are backed by a nationwide warranty honored throughout the chain. We strive to offer the best customer service possible. The customer is welcome to return to the center, and we will gladly reinspect the vehicle to determine if this leak is due to the original repair.

I took my car back to Aamcco on 1-30-15 to which they kept for 7 days, Tom from Aamcco stated that they could not find any of the problems I experienced, but he installed a transmission cooler because he was told by a technican that it may help. I continued to experience the same issues...car shuts off completely when turning the steering wheel to the left...car shuts off completely whenever changing gears from reverse to drive...car shakes and rattles whenever coming to a stop. I again went to Tom on Saturday 2-14-15 to have someone from his shop drive with me to experience my concerns. I felt embarrassed and foolish when nothing happenened with my car on that day. I decided to keep a log for every time I had experience these issues with my car. On 2-25-15 my engine light came back on. I took my car to Autozone for a quick reference check. To my amazement the same code "P0770" appeared on the report as from the beginning of the problem back in August 2014 as if though no repairs were ever made. I called [redacted] again on 2-27-15 and explained what transpired. He asked that I bring him the car, I did. The report on his diagnosis machine revealed "shift solenoid E." Because I am sooooo frustrated with trusting anyone from Aamcco, I informed [redacted] that I will be taking my car to the dealer for a full diagnosis. On 3-2-15 [redacted] revealed a "Powertrain Control Module" is what is needed. I no longer want Aamcco to do any more repairs to my car. I want Aamcco to pay [redacted] to make the necessary repairs on my car. I am also seeking to get reimbursed for the total cost of $2,471.70 for a unsatisfactory transmission repair plus the cost of the rent-a-car of $273.27 and $2,255.03 for putting me thru a inconsiderable amount headaches & inconvenience. For a total amount of $5000. I am NOT satisfied with Aamcco!
