Review: I made contact with the business in hopes that they could repair my vehicle. After a whole day and a half of having my vehicle and charging me 98.50 an hr for a total of 2 hrs of labor for diagnostics, they diagnosed the problem as my vehicle needing a timing chain replacement. The employee quoted me over the phone at appx 1900 for the repair which included 6 hrs of labor. When I went to pick the vehicle up because I wasn't sure when I'd have that kind of money, my vehicle was still apart. I waited over an hour for them to put it back together. Just before releasing my vehicle I was advised that they had broken the valve cover gasket on my driver side. They replaced the part with a gasket for a 3.5 L instead of the 2.7L which is not a correct fit. My biggest complaint is that they wanted to charge me $1100.00 for a part that only costs around $250.00 including all component. It is very unethical to charger a consumer 5x as much for a part. I may be a female, but I am not so ignorant and naive about the cost of vehicle parts or repairs. I do understand that some types of repairs can be labor intensive, but why charge so much more than actual retail on the part? It is bad business practices. I also feel that my 208.82 paid for diagnostics should be refunded since a part of my vehicle was damaged and I had to pay to have it replaced. This business will end up losing a lot of customers if they continue their unethical business practices.Desired Settlement: I would like my $208.82 refunded for diagnostics since they somehow damaged driver side valve cover. Also, I feel like the franchise owner should have better business practices when it comes to pricing out parts. Over a $1000 for a 250.00 part is beyond me.

As far as putting the 3.5 Liter valve cover in place of a 2.7 Liter valve cover seems that would be impossible due to the drastic difference in shape.

In closing I have requested from [redacted] a copy of our estimate that we provided her, I believe the prices she refers to in her letter are for the timing chain only not the complete set as stated above . I feel that this was a situation of lack of adequate explanation, for which I am very sorry. I would like to invite you back for a future visit, for which I will personally handle your service, and I will credit the 2 hours of diagnostic time ($197) to any future service.
